After chatting with Alex, I killed her and the rest of the cultists. And there were a few cultists that, although very dead, still registered as living. So I had to exit the mine, go back in, and kill all the cultists (except for Alex). Again. At which point it finished that portion of the quest. Also, instead of finding the password, I was able to just sneak past the gatekeeper and head to the cells. Yeah, still a bit buggy.

Mines doing the same thing! I killed all the cultists in the mine but those yellow diamonds are still above their heads even though they’re dead as hell!

Can't seem to complete this, tried 2 times there seem to be about five markers you can't get to it looks like they are out side but if you go out side they evaporate and you can't clear the mine.

I really, *really* wish I could have saved her and given a happy ending. :(

Bugged, you have to chat with Alex before cutting them down. She is bugged for me now, has no dialog and can't kill her.

This happened to me on the PTS and I reported it. I also asked if wearing a mothman outfit was required for the peaceful ending, but got no answer back.

I was able to get them to the last health. Then after trying everything I crouched in front of them and moved around and they finally talked to me. After the dialog I was able to kill Alex and the quest continued the next step.

@@geobrad2645 I went in wearing the provided outfit didn't have to fight at all. Gave Alex the book and then had to fight back out rescuing Hugo's wife on the way.

Glitched out for me. Can not put on the cultist outfit, vanishes as soon as i step in the cave. Everyone is hostile, have to kill them. Got the password and killed all the cultist, but the quests never updates. Even Alex is hostile and I cant talk to her...and she won't die because i need to talk to her first. Came here hoping to fimd a solution. I did not. Problem persist.

I’d be interested to know if you server hopped whether it would restart that portion of the quest for you or not? This quest line is super buggy I’ve noticed.

@@NakedVaultDweller once i noticed the issue server hop was the first thing I tried. And each time I was met with the same issue. The cultist garb does respawn for me in the shed. I equip it, and it is mark as a quest item. But once inside the cave the outfit is removed. Tied to equip it inside the cave, but it vanishes when inside. With no garb everything is hostile, so i shoot my way in, eliminating everyone BUT Alex. Alex is hostile the second I come into view, where i am forced to shoot her and she wont die. The first time it happened I was in the middle of talking to Alex, when she suddenly turned hostile. Thought it was part of the story, until she would not die. So logged out and began hopping. Began happening last night (xbox 1), and still same issues. edit...In short....everything did reset, but I still could not complete the quest.

Dude I am flabbergasted that they are having to is kind of issue with the quest line. This is so disheartening to read my friend. You’re not alone though, numerous players have reported issues with the new quests on these videos. You’ve done everything I would suggest doing. The only thing I’d try differently is just go in guns blazing without putting on the garb. It won’t change the storyline in the least. As a side note I was hoping Beth would have released a hot fix today for some of these issues they are having, especially with the pickax bug but they didn’t. If you have access to discord, you could pop in there and see if their support staff could move you along. Most of them are first level script support but they might have a suggestion that could help. Keep us posted brother.

@@NakedVaultDweller Funny enough my only option is to go in garbless and eliminate everything. I have noticed I habe the password, cant drop it since it is a quest item. Yet the marker still tells me to find the password. As much as i hate not being able to complete the quest, I know it is not just me. So I patiently wait for the hotfix that has to be coming.

I never got this quest, Hugo never showed up and Audrey just went back to the vault. I can't progress, anyone else have this or know a solution?

I went to a new sever and it fixed it

I found that you can still talk to her when your sitting in her chair if she is downed you can hit square on ps5 it worked for me hope it works for you guys

This quest bugged out for me. The quest marker won't even show up on my map. I've tried server hopping many times and that does not work. Is there any solution out there?

Mine wouldn’t show up. I had to physically get to the location and go inside the mine. It’s in the southern west part of the new map south of the weather station if you found that in a multi player event.

I ended up mercking the cultists before finding the password. May have glitched progression. Hopefully not. If I do not update here then assume it was fixed

100% of your "walkthrough" (walk thru.... mhm) was absoltely NOTHING like my quest, there was no guy named pepper, there was no one to talk to in the cave, Alex never talked to me, Alex was not standing by the throne when I walked in, Alex was not even in the throne room, found alex in another room and Alex attacked me as soon as I walked in so there was zero dialog. I just went through the cave, found cassidy, killed Alex and left... quest done.
