They really did an amazing job with the textures. Spot on for the most part. Thought it was funny that the protectron and the guy walking down the corridor synced up. Was about to call him a synth lol

Jeez I thought I was the only one actually wishing they did such a game; I'd love it as well. Though another thing that could be really interesting would be seeing other countries in Fallout Universe cause I've got like NO IDEA as for what happened to Europe after the Great War. Probably my fault though. I think they talk about it in Fallout 3 or New Vegas in some sidequests but I probably forgot about it.

@@whitsword The only side quest i know where they sort of talk about Europe is in Fallout 3 where the guy who owned that one tower says that England is a much worse place.

I’ve stayed at the Greenbrier. What a great idea to put this in the game. The real hotel has a casino and secret bunker underneath

Ty Michael hidden bar and casino? Negative. Those are/were not hidden. What was though is the secret military corridors. You should’ve taken that tour while you were there. Extremely fascinating.

John Avitable yea it’s most fascinating. Very surreal feeling and a lot of old architecture. Can’t wait to see what mysterious things they do with it in Fallout.

this is soo cool! I grew up going to the greenbrier when I was little and living in West Virginia. fallout 76 did a great job of replicating it in the game!!

myself and a friend went to one of the guided tours of the Greenbrier, and when we mentioned the game they told us members of the dev team spent like a week there taking pictures and documenting the layout of the hotel so they could get it correct, all the way down to the exact size of the curtain bows. it's so close with minor aesthetic changes.

Now they need to drop some nukes for the finishing touch.

Heh heh so it's a real hotel :D Cool how it's in the game. I wouldn't last long in that hotel though. They'd quickly have me arrested for grapping their steel buckets, shopping baskets, pencils, desk phones and searching the staff area for computers to hack ;-) Not to mention the power armor parked in the VIP drop off zone =))

I was so excited when I saw I had to go to Morgantown High School, cause that’s the school I went to IRL, then had a huge letdown cause it’s no where near what it really looks like

already visited faneuil hall, time to visit this place

Nice detailed representation of the locations but I bet like most games it won't look as nice up close.

You cant take pictures in the bunker or casino.

Why would you even want to build some run down shack in the middle of the waste when this place exist. I'd just occupy the presidential suite. You'd have large clean accommodations, lush green manicured gardens, an 18 hole golf course, and 24 hour service and security. Why stress yourself when you can live on a literal resort.

That's not close enough for me. They got some things wrong with the outside and inside of the building. The worst thing is that the name is different. Oh well. I'm alright with it because we'll be able to fix it with a mod.

Fallout is not known for the best graphics... I think if they used a different lighting engine, that would help a ton.

They've changed it up quite a lot since Fallout 4. There's a very sharp and contrasted tone here compared to Fallout 4's filtered, slightly muddy brown lighting, and the ambient occlusion seems to be more effective (though I've noticed the same artefacts when picking up objects). Maybe they've just upped the emission for all the light sources or something, but it's very... Spikey. Weird.

For the first few I was like “ok stop making video games that look better than the real world”

west virginia seems like such an odd choice for locale

Not really. West Virginia has no nuke-worthy targets, and only a portion of of it, mostly the Northern and Eastern panhandles are within the fallout shadows of Pittsburgh, PA and Washington DC. An underground complex could easily be dug into the mountains and hidden away until it is time to go back into the world again. West Virginia faces more problems with a massive influx of refugees from Pittsburgh and DC right after the nuclear strike than from the strike itself, and ultimately, everybody and their dog routinely forgets that the entire state even exists, making it a perfect hiding place for a nuclear shelter. As always, my $0.02USD is my own.

+Aega14 Fallout 76 is set 25 years after the bombs fell. It can't be a synth - they weren't invented for another 100 years or so.

To show how soon we’ll be unable to tell what is real and what is just a game and so the Third World War will start, the war against the enemies from the virtual world. They will be able to respawn making them incredible hard to probably defeat but eventually we will provale, only to find out that at the start of the war every human was placed into a massive simulation and the robots took over and that’s when the first matrix movie takes place.
