You could also go for Cpt Brigett (or something along those lines as for names) at the Hub City Auto Parts junkyard. Though this is a hard place for early stage builds, she will always drop Heavy Combat Armor, helmet and all. It's south of the Insane Asylum and just across the river of the Finch Farms quest location.

You just described my entire playthrough so far

Find a gunner named Bridget on the highway over Hub City Auto Wreckers. She has full Heavy combat armor (minus one arm) regardless of what level you find her. She might be tough on lower levels, but not too tough for a fatman or two :)

Good guide. I'm glad you're still doing Fallout 4 videos. It seems that if you create a brand new character and follow a few of your guides, you could really be geared up to power through the main story.

When you do the quest at the National Guard Training grounds, the grunt who was working with Paladin Brandies who died there has a Brotherhood of Steel Combat Armor BP on her.

Great video very helpful for me because my most recent save got deleted and I was level 44 and now I have to restart. I restarted last night and now I am Lvl. 9 glad I came across this video and keep making helpful amazing videos like this to help the community of fallout 4

I met Absalom and he wore normal combat armour with some sturdy pieces. It probably depends on your level. If he always wore heavy it would be totally worth farming for.

I'd say Sal in Jamaica Plains is the prime opportunity for combat at low level. That gear isn't generated from a loot tree, it is tied to the encounter so it's always there. If you console to tgm at lower levels, then go to places like Vault 95 and Gunners plaza and just spam bullets until stuff dies, you will find they don't have combat armor. They will be wearing leather and various gunners outfits. The loot is level locked and you simply won't get high end stuff at low level. Much like you won't get X-01 until specific levels.

Great vid, just got my full set at level 11, that withered still caught me out but luckily I unloaded les fusil on him!!

Not something that i think is doable at lvl 10, but you could always just join the brotherhood. not only do they have combat armor, but a nice BoS paint job on it as well.

ixXmidgetXxi when you join the brotherhood of steel you can mood the combat armour to have a bos symbol which i think gives you radiation resistance

+SAM PEPE The vendor Kleo at Goodneighbor sells a heavy combat armor right arm. It's not labeled as heavy because of the mods, but if you save before buying you can check if it's a heavy version.

Assault Marine Armour blows combat armor out of the water. I think it is accessible as soon as you get Far Harbour although you might want to look up the locations.

Like what Sam Pepe said, there's almost a full set of heavy combat armor, including the helmet at hub city auto wreckers. This is doable around lvl 10 because I have done it twice now on survival difficulty at that level range. There are threats there you need to worry about and I will address them: Assaultron that is normally the first enemy to attack you while you are outside the main entrance. (Disable with mines and grenades.) A missle launcher wielding gunner up on the highway perch (Just like most enemies here take him/her out with long ranged sniping.) Sometimes a legendary gunner will also spawn so you may have to deal with that nuisance as well. The unique named gunner that carries the heavy combat armor is up on the highway in a metal shack. She also carries a auto laser pistol as well as a fat man which she will use if your at a reasonable distance. She is easily killed if you manage to sneak up on her shack and pin her on one side with a companion while sneaking around the semi and attacking her from behind; pinning her in place with no cover. Note that the helmet for the combat armor is located in the trailer where you lower the bridge.

Problem solver is 100% better imo spray n pray sucks because the explosion will knock away loot and the wounding legend effect is 10x better than the explosive effect just saying so in short not worth the caps but you do you

You can side with then up until you get the deliverer and then kill them, I suggest getting the ballistic weave mod while you at it also.

Yes! Ballistic weave is badass. 110 resistance to ballistics and energy I believe. You can add it to some hats as well.

i've no idea if you or your viewers and subs know this but when i was acquiring my set of combat armor, thanks to this guide, in the Jamaican Town Church, on the second floor there is an Assault Rifle connected to a trip wire so a nice early acquisition if anyone wants to rock this particular weapon

there’s a random encounter area where you can get the side quest to go to Jamaica plain and that will definitely confirm that they will be there. Plus, you definitely need to be higher than level ten too to find all their bodies including the combat armour NPC.

I was blessed with auto stim leather arm early on so I never bothered looking for combat armor. Even with luck 3 I had no probs getting enough legendary loot by lvl 12-15 to make any generic armor a waste of time. Legendary loot drops have made going after generics a non-issue, imho. But nice vid on ballistic weave, tho

Vault 75 is an alright spot to check if you need some spare combat armour. Found a Shadowed Combat armour chest piece on one of the gunners in the actual vault. It was an awesome find.

I ran into Absolon yesterday in the lake near Vault 81 while looking for that damn cat Ash. Good fight and yes nice armour.

I am new to the channel and fallout 4. Can you do a video on doing mods and armor up grades? (If you haven't already that is). Thank you.

A easy way to get the armor of sal is to immediately turn around at the top of the staircase and hug the little ledge to being where the withered ghoul is before he pops out, you can shoot him through the broken wall and grab the armor and run! Hoped this made it easier to get instead of having three of them to kill!

Could you make a video about where to find heavy variants for leather or metal armor? All I ever find is just the standard first level kind.
