The 3 means it can give three power. So if you connect 3 items to it that all require 1 power it will power them. However when you add a fourth it wont power the fourth item. Btw thank you for making this. I just started the game, and I was extremely confused. This helps alot.

Only been playing for 4 days. Maybe they should have introduced this later on after I finished the story?? Not sure how it’s going to play out.

The settlement system is one of my favorite aspects of Fallout 4. But I have a hard time with electricity mechanics in any game (Minecraft, 7 Days to Die; to name a couple). I appreciate you taking the time to learn about them yourself and passing down the knowledge to us scrubs that are too lazy to figure it out by outselves 🤣. Great video, man. It’s informative, you describes the functions well while also demonstrating them. I’m like a child, I need pictures in my books so I appreciated that 🙃. And yeah, the purple light trick had me amazed. I had no idea. I’m definitely making me some kind of club. I sorta wanna try n make some kind of strobe with those Tesla traps. Any chance you could make a video about that? I play on Xbox and if God mode exists, I don’t know about it so mats are harder to obtain. Thanks again, man. I honestly never comment, so you must’ve made quite an impact on me ☺️❤️.

Great job, man. I really like getting into these aspects of games, like logic in LBP and redstone in Minecraft, but Fallout didn't explain a whole lot about the electricity system, and being a console peasant, I'd have to waste a lot of materials if I used trial and error. Thanks for the guide! Also, I'm not sure about this, but I think if something has a 1(lightning bolt) it uses one of the power units, but if it just has a lightning bolt with no number, such as the lightbulbs, then it just needs power, but doesn't actually take any away from the generator. If that's the case, then you probably could have powered all of those Tesla mines with just the 3(lightning bolt) generator. But again, I'm not sure. Anyway, thanks again.

wow, i am a Fallout4(rather the entire Fallout franchise) newcomer since i've never played any of the previous Fallout games at all. I've been messing around in Fallout4 for about 4 days now and every time i think it cannot possibly blow my mind anymore - things like this video happen! This is an amazingly addictive game, great job Bethesda(that i've only known about from playing an equally amazing Dishonored) - no wonder Bethesda is getting sued by a weirdo cause he ended up loosing his job/wife/friends because of getting addicted to F4! That alone speaks volumes of how amazing this game really is! I just wish the graphics were more up to Witcher3 level(or latest Croft's adventure) but i guess we will have to do with mods(and there are plenty of those made by fans). One thing i noticed, from this video, could you have not simply connected the Tesla traps by that "sphere of electricity" that you mentioned in the beginning of your video? Those wires are an unsightly mess and would look a lot better if those traps were connected wirelessly(they seem to have no number next to electricity symbol and that you said indicates that they can be powered by the "sphere"?). Great video and i am looking forward to watching more of the tutorial videos as i am getting more and more into F4 universe. By the way, like i said i've been in F4 for about 4 days, but i am still on the very early mission since every time i got to do a mission i get easily distracted by other amazing thing/places that lead to even more places and so on:). Would it hurt my progress in some way if for example while i am exploring i stumble upon a house/place/cave/etc and kill some inhabitants and then later find out there is a mission for that exact place and i was suppose to instead befriend them or ask them for something? Thanks again for the great video!
