The wild thing is; the raiders could have literally started raiding at any point, but they all communally agreed “don’t worry Monty, we got you bro, we’ll wait till after the honeymoon” - I can only imagine their faces when they got the call through from vault 33, “hey, you got anyone that wants to come over and breed with my daughter?”

It makes a lot more sense once you reach the end of the show. But ultimately their goal was the dad, who is the overseer. It's not super well communicated here unfortunately (that's the bigger fallback of the writing imo) but that's the reason why they wait for the wedding. Probably when they have the entire vault in one place, drunk and vulnerable. The perfect time to strike.

I really hope Eric comes watch this too. One of the FIRST things I thought of when I finished the series was "oh I NEED Blind Wave to see this"!

As far as i understand, Eric has some medical issues so he couldn't have as loaded of a schedule when they were reacting to this.

In the lore of the Fallout universe, the microchip was never invented. It's why everything's made of vacuum tubes, etc. Everything was nuclear powered. Cars, etc.

One of my first gaming memories is watching my dad play fallout 3 when I was 8 till he allowed me to play them, this show is 10x more than I could have ever hoped, makes me feel like a little nerdy kid knowing all the little sounds and references and things around the world, ended up watching 6 episodes back to back till 3:30am last night and I haven’t done anything like that in years, they FULLY respect and appreciate all the source material and have expanded on it and explained things that people have wanted to know for years, they nailed this show man, the music, the acting, the cgi and environments it’s all better than most of us hoped.

My mother got me to watch this show with her, and despite her confusion, I'm really enjoying it. Excited to see the crew's thoughts!

I would have expected the entire crew to react to this given that its a video game adaptation

Fun fact: the show is canon to the game universe, and vice Versa. All the perks, drugs, weapons, exsist. Like bloody mess, where if you shoot someone the body part explodes. There are also shots reminiscent to VATS (following the bullet, or fully missing every shot fired)

Very disappointed that Rick and Eric aren't watching this, such a shame honestly. I wanted to see their reactions to this. I really don't understand why you guys do this sometimes, like the One Piece Live action series. :( But I am glad that you are at least doing a reaction to it.

Just binged the whole thing. It’s a wild ride, and it’s made even better if you’ve played the games.

Those issues with Fo76 were short lived. The community as a whole has been excellent since the start.

Awesome!. But it would be also awesome to have the full crew in on this!

This doesn't hit the same without Eric.

Maybe that was the community in fallout 76 in the first year or so but since then the game is actually very nice and in a good state, could definitely use less microtransactions 😢 but the community now is very fun and helpful also idk if there is a max level but ive seen people in the 3k to 7k level range so its way up there 😂

Fallout 76 has really grown nicely, and it is a fun experience with friends. Show is great, I love the build of the story.

My friend's and I are pretty big fans of fallout, and we were pleasantly surprised by how much we liked this show. We decided to have a watch party the night it dropped, expecting to get a taste by watching the pilot episode. Turns out they'd dropped the whole first season at once, so clearly we ended up staying up til 7am binge watching it. There were some minors things that I wasn't a huge fan of, but a lot of things I liked a shit ton, and now I'm hyped af to see what S2 has in store for us next year.

Visually it's near perfect fallout but writing is so god awful and what is up with this bad Deadpool rip off Ghoul thing. This show would have been a complete failure if it wasn't a good Fallout show. This level of writing would crash and burn as anything else.

People need to give some Love to Fallout 1 and 2, they are janky as shit but fun once you get into the plots and game play. I suffered through them at the start but by the end I was so happy I finished both. A lot of references in this show to the first two games.

i watched the whole season and its great. i played 3 and 4 but its been so long i dont remember everything. without spoiling anything, as i was watching the show i was reminded of things from the game, so its very close to the game stories.

fallout 76 did have a rough start, and sure it's still not the best fallout game by a longshot, but most of the toxic players have long since abandoned it and everyone now is just super nice and helpful. even the devs have acknowledged that the community has really kept the game alive and they've leaned into that with events that reward cooperation and big "raid" boss fights are pretty fun now.

Just noticed that when Lucy throws that satchel of ammo over her dress it’s reminiscent of Dolores from Westworld at the end of S1 - cool easter egg from Nolan who was a producer/screenwriter for Westworld

Great reaction. The weapon used to fire the doll parts is a Junk Jet, you can load and fire with just about anything that will fit in it. On the PC, I've played 6,492 hours of Fallout 4 and over the years have installed hundreds of mods. Even though I play other games, Fallout 4 is still my favorite. It reminds me so much of Gamma World, an RPG game from TSR that I played back in the 70s. This series is really good and I'm already looking forward to season 2.

I really appreciate how, in the Lucy/Monty fight, she doesn't just automatically kick his ass. Too many modern shows do that, just to 'prove' that 'anything a man can do, a woman can too', which is, patently, nonsense. Yes, Lucy was well trained in physical combat, but there's a SIGNIFICANT difference between training for combat and practicing moves in a class, and fighting for real. Getting my ass kicked in a street fight as a young adult, after thinking I was hot shit because of years of various martial arts training and being in good shape from sports, taught me that lesson, big time. Monty, as a raider from the surface, would have been in serious combat, multiple times, literally fighting for his life...and his many scars give evidence of this. Lucy holds her own well, and, obviously, gets the better of him in the end, but it's by keeping her head, thinking clearly/cleverly, and not losing situational awareness. She doesn't just GrrrlBoss it up and kick his ass just because. It's a refreshing change of pace, and makes for a MUCH better scene/story.

On "triennial". It can be used, depending on context, to mean "every three years" or "three times a year". Later events and backstory implies it means "every three years" in the case of the Vaults trading.

Honestly super happy with this series. As someone that played Fallout 1/2/New Vegas, you can very clearly tell they did their homework, especially later on.

Aaron, buddy, they will answer questions about the world and what's going on as the show progresses. You don't have to question everything on screen.

There are several reactors that does it and it's annoying. They don't watch the show but instead trying to work out the whole plot. Also tend to joke, look away or talk over important dialogue. I mean he forget things happening only a few minutes afterward.

He seems to have little to no grasp on story structure or long-term recollection of characters and plot. And don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being lost or confused at times, but give it some time to breathe and play out.
