Here's my Aldi tip. I keep a quarter under my car mat. I use it and put it back...always. I always have a quarter because of this. Hubby knows what that quarter is for and never picks it up. Even when we vac out the car, the quarter goes back in its spot. Done!

I'm one of those moms that thinks it's important to take our kids on errands. I had my kids before "pick up" was a thing. So they were always with me. I always had to build in extra time in my schedule and just breathe. Setting expectations is so important. They need those experiences in the real world. It so great for their development.

You and Josh have made a good life for yourselves. I understand that it's hard work but you are doing everything properly.

One tip for easy to remove tablescapes is to still use the runner, but find an oblong tray or cutting board and contain the decor items on that. Then it's just a "life and go" centerpiece that makes it easy to set the table or clear it for crafts. Yours looks really pretty. Love the colors!

Another fun video! Your canned goods stockpile is so great! A good friend taught me how to can but since then I’ve always done it solo. Finally this year I had a friend want to learn so we canned some together. Was the best! Also, love how intentional you are with your kids. Good reminder to me! Have a great week!

For my tables I love using a runner, but then putting decor on a tray, turntable or tiered stand that is easily moveable and simple to change out seasonally.

@@botanicalbecca8443 Thank you. Another favorite of mine is a simple floral arrangement. I have an obsession with decorating, but get anxiety if the decor is not functional as well. In my opinion decorating is about figuring out what works well for you. On our formal dining room table, that you see upon entering the house, you will find candle sticks and something along the lines of what Megan created in the video. Our kitchen table however, has a beautiful turn table with a seasonal candle, salt and pepper shakers and a seasonal decor piece. One table is meant to be a focal point and the other can be a desk, laundromat, pet bed, first aid station or something entirely different at any given point in time.

Your post is my favorite part of Thursday! Love the lemonade stop & the new centerpiece! As the mother of two teen daughters, I'm in a different parenting stage than you but they sometimes remind me of toddlers & preschoolers when we have to shop...😂🙃 And I still love to watch them sleep, even though they're 13 & 16. They're just so sweet! I think it's a mama's heart full of joy thing, not creepy at all! ♡ Take care & God bless!!!🙏🏼🌻

I’m one of seven kids and my parents always took us out to restaurants, shopping, long vacation, etc. I remember from a young age having my parents lay out clear expectations…and we rarely misbehaved because we knew what we were supposed to do! My husband doesn't like sweet potato either, so I make it when he's not around!

I've been following you for a long time now (3 years, maybe not that long.) I just wanted to say without sounding weird or whatever. You have the cutest babies. And you + Josh seem like such good parents. Stimulating them, going on bike rides, adventures, cooking, etc. It reminds me a lot of my parents. I grew up in Northern NY and it was quite similar. Anyway, I love that your so engaged on famy, your children... when you still have so much going on behind the scenes. You just don't see that nowadays and it's what I'm used to. I just appreciate it. That's my point.

Last year I was so fall crazy. I was constantly picking up some decor ideas from you and other KZreadrs. This year it's too hot it doesn't feel like fall. I may just skip to Christmas decorations in November.

The long-sleeved dress was beautiful! They were all beautiful but that one stood out to me. I was convinced that I would wear a princess-y dress with a big skirt and everything when I got married but then I tried on a very simple one and fell in love. In the end my mother made my dress and it was perfect. That was thirteen years ago. I should try it on and see if it still fits. 😁

The table looks pretty. For more ease you may want to use the runner with a dough bowl that you can decorate and easily take on and off the table. They are fun to change out seasonaly and easy to move on and off the table for crafting and such. Look forward to seeing more as your sister's wedding approaches! I loved this video...the meal you cooked, the times you took them out biking...there was so much that was great, especially going with your sister to look at wedding dresses! I’ve wondered if she’s the last one in your family to get married? Being an older grandmother, there’s one thing that has worried me and that was your sweet baby boy playing at the base of your fireplace. When I was young, I knew of someone who had a child who lost a tooth and also needed stitches because of playing with an older sibling at the base of their fireplace. Until they are steady on their feet, children should not play there. When I heard that, I kept a foam pad around ours that went on a lawn recliner so our kids wouldn’t fall on it. They weren’t allowed to play there and the pad was just in case! Just had to mention this.

Maybe you could try sliding your table decorations over to one side while the kids play on the other side. When they're done, all you'd need to do is wipe the table then slide the decoration back in place.

Your umbrella pram remunded me that about 35yrs ago i got my first umbrella pram..a cheap one..the seat all deteriorated so my hubby took the pram apart and we made a pattern from the seat and made a replacement one from denim...it lasted for 2 more kids!! So enjoyed the bridal section& your sister..thanks for the sneak pic ! Soooo agree about reminding the kids of what's expected of them. I have 3 littles under 5 and I just time outings with naps and meal times to avoid crankiness. Then I'm sure to remind the two olders of where we are going and ask them if they remember the rules. I do the same with your "boot camp" mentality. I've only had to end up actually leaving for home one time after two tries. My sister has her own way, which is great, but she gets on me about "letting kids be kids". Well, for me, part of being a kid is learning how to someday be an adult and I start them early. It benefits the whole family. They enjoy having a smooth, fun experience just as much as I do and they don't see the rules as a bad thing at all. I think kids THRIVE on having direction and they run and play and get dirty 99 percent of the time! Then my sister asks me how I don't stress and the kids don't complain when we have to run errands together. Well, sis, it's like this... :)

Love the centerpiece arrangement you came up with and the candle color is perfect. Can you hot glue the loose leaves onto the little places they came off? I hate to send things back, I just don't like to take the time. LOL The children are getting so big and they are such beautiful children. Millers big blue eyes and Evione's hair color is just so so pretty. The gowns looked beautiful and I hope you share her wedding if you are able. I love weddings and I sewed my own wedding dress and coat and my daughters as well as the rest of the girls gowns and flower girls.........thats been along while ago now but I love the excitement and beauty of it all and having it a most beautiful day for them!
