Here is the artist dispute for the Old Colorado class ships for anyone whos intersted. The artist who did the original art looked down on AL and thought it was just another knock-off Kancolle clone, so he drew some very crappy art. AL devs tried to salvage by editing the artwork, this pissed off the artist. The original artist is also one of the main artist for Warship Girls R, a direct competitor for Azur Lane, so naturally there were some beef btw the two parties. The fallen wing event was delayed for all other server until now is probably the result of this dispute.

So after some digging, this is what I found: Said artist said that with the growing of AzLane fanbase in Japan, the devs gonna start sucking Japan's ****. And said that AzLane fans is a (insert derogatory remarks about half Chinese-half Japanese ancestry here/basically Chinese national who loves Japan and hates China). This is not too surprising though, considering how WSG loyal to the PRC and their views on history, it bled to their fanbase...

@Konati Konoe I think you missunderstand my intention, the artist was unprofesional when he took the job but doing Half assed work - ( even try to damaging his own work for competitor company) if he is profesional through and through, he should just not accepted the job outright, when there is conflict of interest. The beef betwen Japan and China would be another matter, and prob just some justification for his unprofesionalism by trying to gain supporter from Japan hater

That's pretty unprofessional for the artist in question. Kinda sad. He should have just rejected the job outright from the start. Though if AL tried to edit his work, I would also understand why he got pissed, even if he did not had the 'good' intention behind designing it in the first place. But with what has happened, I think it only served to put himself in a bad light. True, the situation could have went better, but given the circumstances, I think AL made the right decision to totally go for a redesign instead, in my honest opinion. The redesigns are so much more cooler. Kancolle may have started and popularized this genre, but make no mistake, AL and Kancolle are two really different games at its core. And it's ultimately up to your preference which one you prefer.

With tomorrow's update I finally have a reason to watch this guide.

​@ダーリンKaga Same skills don't usually stack. For instance, you can't stack Smokescreens, or Artillery commands or tactical commands. You can have one of each and it is usually the stronger one. If memory serves.

@@gummi4977 They should be. Eagle Union back-liners have high anti-air, which is a definite plus for current end game. NC should be a beast, on paper at least, with her skill that increases her FP based on her anti-air. Can give her the AA gears and have her regular damage go up too.

@@timeshark8727 that's great. But 2 hours left before maintenance and still didn't get Washington, yet my cubes are all used. Still hoping for cubes from commision that i already took and probably 1 finished normal maps for doing the last pulls.

More important though, we got Sandy’s stage on EN. 😀

Interesting. I find her voice absolutely annoying and the single worst trait in NC. To each their own but it's pretty interesting nonetheless.

Heard about the artist dispute and art change of some ships but what was the dispute? And didn't expect we'll get the new ship that's not yet even released in CN. RIP me though. I have FGO JP and NA Halloween event incoming this week plus this. I have 148 cubes for Washington so hopefully that's enough too. PS. Sandy stage furniture just given away today. I love it. The original artist is a hardcore Warship Girls fanboy, and he deliberately made shitty artworks. Manjuu salvaged the artworks since the original artist won't be bothered to fix it. The guy started throwing tantrums on Weibo shitting on AL and praising WSG, typical fanboy stuff. Manjuu fired him after he said he would only work for WSG. Then Manjuu hired another artist to redesign the Colorado-class ships.

Finally we got these ships again, do you consider updating this guide? I spent almost 150 cubes and got all except Washington Also level up North Carolina as syoon as you can, she will help you a lot in chapter 13

This is the event I've been looking forward to the most for the simple reason that the designs of Washington and South Dakota are what got me to actually try the game. OP or not these are some of the ships I want the most. Also a sucker for all Eagle Union ships now that I'm in the game. Still just starting out so don't know how well I'm gonna do with my teams only in the lvl 30-40 range. But gonna try my best to complete the event. And the new art for the Colorado class ships looks awesome! so happy about that as well.

USS Minneapolis looks very similar with Ramlethal Valentine from Guilty Gear.

I was already intending to get South Carolina because I like Yui Horie fortunately she's GOOD

Your guide is so informative and easily digestable. Been learning alot from the content you put out regarding AL. Keep up the good work and chill music.

Wasp the only Rare Carrier? whats with Long Island, Shouhou? Well, if they are Retrofit they are Epic... but then there is Langley, Ranger or Bogue which are common and can be Retrofit to get Rare Carrier. Besides, do you have to use Washington with South Dakota in a combo for Washington to be really good, or is it only good for PvP usage?

wasp is the only rare carrier, others are light carrier. washington have to be used with south dakota in pvp. in pve she is good with just herself.

8:36 I actually playing Fallen Wings event on both Global and JP servers, and from how difficulty is concerned, I think both of games has the same level. (They probably made it easier on Washington server. Lucky. Also mind that I just finished both on Normal mode. Heck, I think JP is easier than Global on this event because of submarines.)

Man I wasnt playing the game yet when this event was going on :( I hope they do a re-run every year for new players.

On the hard mode what is the requirement ship needed to start the quest ?? I failed to finish d3 on the last event visitor dyed in red due to not having 2 good high lvl destroyer,

cubes and gold are ready, but yeah, i'm still lacking for the preparation section X_X I hate that restrictions stuff o. Hard mode =="

I only have around 70 cubes saved up. Really hope it's going to be enough. As free playing player I think the event might be going a bit too fast. Dedicated like 5-8 hours of playtime. The new artworks for USS Colorado, Maryland and West Virginia are totally awesome. Too bad their skills fall short of their appearances. :( Both excited and worried for this event in case I could't get all the rewards item especially the most rewarding ones.

just putting this out here, AL said that only ones who've done FW event last year are the only ones to keep the old design, but is there a chance that they'd put the old designs out for EN version? For me the old version looks better in the sense that it looks american (given they're US ships) while the new designs have a more anime-ish feel to it :(

since there are no dynamic difficulty in this game, the new ships don't make the old ships obsolete, powercreeping in AL is almost non-existent. So yeah I won't change my rating on older ships, AL has been keeping their numbers well, and there really isn't too much meta in PvE to begin with.

Did you ever review Minneapolis ?

Don't want to post wrong info, or mislead people, but some players on discord are saying that the event's difficulty will be reduced significantly, compared to the Chinese version. Moreover, it will be slightly easier than Visitors, around lvl 55+ levels on D3. I guess we're all expecting the difficulty to be reduced from that on the CN server, but I'm not too about the last part. If the difficulty is around lvl 55, than people can test fleets out on world 5 hard, since it's around the same level bracket. Thanks for the awesome video as always,

well i expected a difficulty reduction due to new server just opened up. eitherway the event have decent drops so easier maps=more farming.

im new to the game, but why colorado(or the other 2) is worse than nelson/rodney? with same skill and just a little bit worse stat, i have both colorado and nelson and planning to leveling up only one of them

USS battleships can only equip Destroyer gun as aux gun,and destroyer guns are worse at killing bombing ships compare to light cruiser guns.

Yay for the Colorado class battleships, I have such good times with those ships back when I played Navyfield as a little kid. The USS Nevada on the other hand gave me PTSD back in the day.

I like the old colorado class artwork, just need the details on their rigging. The new artwork is good with some darker theme, but for me is the old ones. Shame with some drama or disputes with the artist. I think that's why AL don't re-run this event, just includes it in data keys in EN

clearing the event will need 2 fleet of Max LB LV80+ at least. If you wanna efficiently farm the hardest map you will need Lv.100 fleets and max enhanced gear

i do have a bunch of 70 to 80+ but not max LB hope thats enough and max enhanced gear....even worse, at best only till at +6, hope this is enough to scrap by

Recommendations for best users of the new gear? I'm guessing Enterprise for the plane, but what about the radar?

probably best with hood for jumpstarting and the increased accuracy too, also great for BB that rely on or with Focused Attack(double damage) skill, u really want that double dmg to hit enemies instead of miss right?

if comparing hood to washington, who dish out better dmg/any form of combat skills in pve tho, if both has good rng (including DoY if possible)

Hood does more single target, wahshington hits a wider area. Both are good (70% chance to proc at max lvl)

I only prep suffolk & prinz for now Keepin wichita at bay because leveling phoenix & brooklyn is suffering Should i just limit break them & ditch those 2 to get to wichita? The best heavy cruisers we have right now are Portland, Wichita, takao and atago. Suffolk retrofit is also very good but requires retrofit.

Wichita is good , highest dmge CA in EN but put her in middle and add another CL/CA who have big defense in the front (left position) Because she is TOO DAMN SQUISHY

its 222 per bomb and 12 bombs at Lv.10. total damage is 2664, the damage is decent, with both her skill procs, hornet's damage is higher than enterprise.

Save up 160 cubes from wasting 6 cubes to get Shoukaku in very first day. The rest is history.
