Definitely. After Karl passed away, Chanel House stated "To succeed of Miss Coco Chanel and Mr Karl Otto Lagerdeld, the house should appoints Mrs Virginie Viard." Which means that from now on, They will put Coco Chanel and Karl at the same level of equality which as a french person we all found deeply touching. They did the right thing. He deserved it totally. You have no idea what he has done yet for the house, but for the whole industry. He saved thousands of jobs which would have disappeared without him like "métiers d'arts". Every thing that the models are wearing is made in France and costs a fortune. Feathers, silks, embroidery, tissage, gloves, Shoes, hats everything. Karl generated ON HIS OWN 150 millions euros revenue for the Total french luxury industry .

Karl was more than just a designer for her. They're very close friends. From day 1 of her career when she opened the Fendi show (Karl Lagerfeld) almost 10 years ago, and now opening the last show of that same designer that basically made her who she is today in the industry.

discopants and haircuts I don’t. I really hate how much women’s fashion borrowers from men’s fashion. And once women start wearing a fashion it becomes women’s only and off limits to men. Women have so many fashionable ways to express themselves, men have you, why do designers have to keep taking from men’s fashion while contributing very little back? ( that’s a rhetorical question ) Even the men’s runway walk has been co-opted by the female models. In the 90s women had an elegant sashay that was powerful and glamorous as they swished down the runway.then they adopted the men’s fashion walk and now they walk like Herman Munster stomping down the runway in cement shoes. Hopefully things will change. Or maybe they won’t. 😂

Karl Lagerfeld brought the House of CHANEL to where it is today. He took over in 1984 when the company was almost about to shut down. He saved CHANEL and made it Fashionably Immortal! Bravo Karl! You are missed but your inspiration lives on!

An absolutely sublime collection, which happens to be Karl"s final collection at the house of Chanel after 36 Years as Creative Director. Such true showmanship, transforming Le Grand Palais in a wintry wonderland, with such craftsmanship of every garment, and what has become the creative aesthetics of the house. I must admit I was moved to such pleasant emotion by the show, and looking forward to the continuation of Chanel after Karl. What a spectacular way to bow out. Its such an honor to have lived in a time to see the work, innovation, and forward thinking reinvention Karl has done for Chanel. "And the Beat Goes On" c'est magnifique

Karl left us with the most "Chanel-y" collection. He was a true artiste.

The melancholy yet beautiful feeling of this music was so special for Karl's final show. Life is so precious. What a collection

I like how the clothes are artsy, but still wearable.

This was a truly beautiful and amazing show. Loved every look from the Menswear inspired coats and wide leg trousers. The Chanel muff bags were everything I want 1. This truly was a Karl Lagerfeld collection of Chanel treasures of class, elegance, and femininity with some masculine touches.

If only Virginie could make anything half as good...

love the way it was colour/pattern blocked so you got this amazing contrast as each 'block' walked past each other, esp with the bright colours and whites near the end.
