The CHANEL Fall-Winter 2024/25 Ready-to-Wear show took place at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, in a seaside setting reminiscent of Deauville, which inspired Gabrielle Chanel the invention of an allure. Shrouded in mystery, the models seem to be walking along the mythical boardwalk of the French coastal town.
Cinematic, the collection imagined by Virginie Viard takes its vibrant or pastel shades from the ever-changing colours of the Deauville sky, along with brown and gold lamé. A nod to the relationship between CHANEL, the coastal town and the 7th art, cinematic references punctuate the silhouettes.

It was nice to see colorful, diverse textures, and stylings after seeing all-black looks that are trending :) the Chanel vibe/identity is also well-blended.

back to their roots but i feel like it’s virginie first time collaborating with the house naturally instead of the pressure put on her since her starting reign! i could be wrong on how she may feel but for me! CEST MAGNIFIQUE!

With this way improved styled and refreshing collection, I hope Virgnie will keep the same energy with future collections.
Much better than the previous RTW show, even the overall look is better than the Couture show
I think this is the best one collection from Virgini Silhouette, detail, proportion head to toe , sounds and etc are perfect ❤

It's very difficult to see this collection. With the camera moving around so much and the odd runway, I feel like I missed half of the collection. You miss the front of the piece and see it from the rear after a panning shot. You never really see the collection. The lighting didn't help either.

Whatever it was, it didn't work. If you are trying to sell clothing, you want people to see it.If you get too caught up in the effects, which they did you lose people rather than highlighting the clothing.@@mikabreto

Best collection I have seen from Chanel in ages. The new dimensions and shapes are terrific and interesting with perfected proportions. Looking forward to purchasing this masterpiece of a collection for Jessica Lynn Venrick.
Chanel certainly served up a vast variety for us to choose from. I can't recall any other show presenting this many beautiful outfits. There was literally something for everyone to suit their taste. A vast improvement from what I've previously seen. There was plenty of textured material to keep everyone happy from Chanel's iconic tweed, stunning suits of all types, casual, sophisticated and chic designs for all. I did have my eye on the black leather jumpsuit and the black leather suit right behind it. Lovely colouring that went against many of the other shows, yet still looked impeccable. Simply jammed packed with endless goodies! Well done to the team at Chanel for these wonderful delights.🇦🇺💖
Best show I've seen, very wearable and beautiful! Models looked amazing too instead of seeing them made to look homley I see in many shows.

You think, really? Those scowly faces and that awful stalking walk. Please, please, bring back the days when the models smiled and showed the clothes for a minute at the end of the runway. Just sad.

So beautiful, so down to earth... Wonderful earth colors smelling by autumn with residual notes of summer (a few light blue and pink colors outfits). Actually I love the retro style. The background adds magical atmosphere, so the show looks like shots from a movie. I love it ♥️

THIS PART.
The collection is worthy of attention. It is inspired by the Mongolian silhouette of women who wear similar large hats with ribbons flowing from the back. They are called malgai. This is especially reminiscent of the silhouettes behind which they are walking! And the music, especially the beginning, is reminiscent of Tuvan throat singing!
That denim puffer jacket, ombré sunset wool coat, and the orangey brown Sherpa flap bags…I may have drooled a little bit.

A fantastic collection and show! The set itself feels like a proper vision that Karl would approve of. Yes, he is no longer with us and the Chanel brand will continue its evolution but the production value of set design as established under Karl should never be lost. That of course could never be replicated to the same degree of effect and need not be as extravagant nor as elaborate as many of his sets were but the stronger likeness, as in this show, makes a world of difference!

I'm trying to remember what year Chanel already had used the first 2 songs in their previous shows. I know I'm not going crazy and that Air's "Sexy Boy" was definitely used in one of the previous Chanel fashion shows under Karl in the 2000's. I'm probably going to have to rewatch the old shows to find out unless anyone knows?
