Apron’s and Spices Cookbook : bit.ly/3M0qxv8
Cheeseburger Soup:
1 lb. ground beef
½ c. onion, chopped
¾ c. carrots, shredded
¾ c. celery, diced
3 c. potatoes, peeled, diced
1 t. basil, dried
1 t. parsley flakes, dried
3 c. chicken broth
¼ c. flour
1½ c. Velveeta cheese, cubed
1½ c. milk
½ t. salt
¼ t. pepper
½ t. Garlic powder
¼ c. sour cream (optional)
4 T. butter
Brown your beef and onions and set aside. I sprinkled in some flour to Help thicken the soup. That’s optional.
Sauté onion, carrots, celery, potatoes, basil, and parsley in butter until vegetables are tender.
Add broth and beef and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and add flour that’s mixed with milk. Bring just to a boil and add cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir until cheese melts. Remove from heat and blend in sour cream.
Serves 6!
Pumpkin Pie : Makes 2 pies
1 c. pumpkin
2 Tbsp. flour
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1½ tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 c. milk
1 can evaporated milk
½ tsp. salt
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Mix flour, sugar and salt together. Add pumpkin, egg yolks, butter, spice and milk. Last fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into 2 unbaked pie shells. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake until
done.
Applesauce:
I used Ginger Gold Apples this time.
Core the apples. Cut into 4ths . Put in kettle with some water so they don’t burn. Once soft, You will pour them into a heavy duty blender and blend it up. Check to see how the consistency is. Different apples will have different texture etc.
Add sugar to taste.
I pour into freezer containers and freeze mine usually.

Slicing a big slab off of that fresh baked loaf just makes my knees buckle! Smear it with a big dolop of butter, and I’m in heaven!!! 😊😊
That’s exactly how the balsamic is supposed to be; you did great!
Lucky to have an Amish grocery which carries a lot of Walnut Creek products just down the road from me. Everything you prepare looks so good.
I always feel such peace watching your videos, Lynette. Thank you for creating such a wonderful channel we can turn to, especially to escape so much negativity in the world these days.
Best birthday gift, my favorite Chinese food and a new vlog from you... Uuu....that makes me sound pretty lame 😂 Although I'm enjoying my solitude before I have to go get my loves at school ❤
So thankful for your videos, Lynette. Watching your videos always brings peace and comfort. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
You are amazing with all that you do and taking care of House, Husband and Children. ❤
A small piece of your daily life. I truly appreciate and enjoy your recipes you cook and bake. It's all always good. Thank you for sharing it all with us. Your such a special woman of God. As always have a blessed and week.
great video and May GOD Bless you and Nick and all your 4 blessings from GOD.!!
LYNETTE MISS YOU- WISH YOU COULD VLOG MORE❤❤
Never heard anyone describe scones as something you need right away. Finally I know the reason it is like eating a plain chunk of cardboard. They definitely lose their taste and consistency, they become more dense and rather ‘blah’. This is probably the reason that a fruited scone to me is better. You keep the taste of the fruit as a reminder of what it is or was like when first baked. Thanks for sharing.

#1 Sentence. Should read “you need to eat right away.”
I’m going to my Amish bulk store this weekend and will buy some Walnut Creek items.
Love the helpful tips and ideas! I usually buy it, but when I have a hankering for homemade applesauce for supper, I usually just make it chunky by mashing it with a potato masher after cooking (served warm with cinnamon sometimes). But I have a ninja so I will have to try applesauce that way 👍 I used to spend all day making a pile of applesauce that was too overwhelming, but small batches are doable for me as well!
What a great idea for applesauce. My husband usually makes homemade applesauce and cans it in the fall but this year he's unable to. He had back surgery last month and is limited to what he can do for several months.
I love your cooking videos Lynette, it encourages me to try new recipe’s! Love how Oaklynn was using the rolling pin👍🥰Great job!💕💕💕
When my grandma made applesauce she would put little cinnamon heart candies into it while cooking. It turned the sauce pink and added a nice pop of cinnamon
Loved this! I don’t cook much, but it is interesting watching you do it. Make more please.
Love this video , nothing better thn home cooking ❤
I love your Channel, Lynette! You and your family are such a blessing!
That’s the very sourdough bread recipe I use from Hopes table . So easy !
I love your videos! You inspire peacefulness and the joy of homemaking! Thank you..
Great video Lynette 😊 hope your family is feeling better!
I love your channel, Lynette! You are such a blessing to me!
I like to take my apple sauce to the next level😉. Add cinnamon and cook it down into apple butter. Lol
Your applesauce looked great! I make a chunky cinnamon applesauce, and I freeze mine too. 😊
These are my favorite types of video - you always have the best recipes! ❤
Wish I could be there to taste all these yummy things ❤️😀👍😋
I love all your videos on baking and cooking ideas. It gives me the motivation to get in the kitchen and try new things.
Mmmmmm I can totally smell your kitchen right now - yum! I love how you support your local business owners, I try to do the same. Cheers & have a great week Lynette 🥰🍏🍂
Always love watching you cook & enjoy your recipes. The cheeseburger soup is one of our family favorite soups! So delicious!
May God bless and keep you too sweet girl. I love the way Oaklyn helps and she is so absolutely beautiful as she grows older. This was a very peaceful video and reminds me to focus on the things of home rather than all the bad things we are surrounded with. Pray without ceasing and let's continue to lift one another up. Gotta try that soup. xoxTXDeb
I enjoy your videos. Your home feel like there's peace, and God is present. God bless.
I’m in Kentucky and our high today is 63. Enjoy your cool weather there is Sarasota!
Hello Lynette; Thank you for the recipes and inspiration... Lovely family, enjoyed the girls participation. Take care God Bless Linda in Canada ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I loved todays video! The cheeseburger soup and the applesauce looks so good. I'll definitely try making the soup.
Thank you for showing how you make applesauce. No peeling must save so much time, and you get all the goodness. I would never have thought of doing it this way, so thank you!
I always enjoy watching you cook and bake! So nice to see the girls in the kitchen too! Can you use the applesauce to make muffins or any type of bread? I'm not a fan of cooking but I for someone reason like to watch others cook. Thank you for taking us along. I sure do love your kitchen!
I was today year’s old when I realized that applesauce is so easy to make!!! Lol
Suggestion: use a rubber band to mark your SD height 😁 that way it's movable for each use and feeding.
My daughter and I went ro the 4 thrift shops you showed. Had a blast. Also been shopping at Detwilers for several years ..the cost is excellent and the taste of canned and fresh is superior to any the food market. I to like to support the local farmers.
Lynette, everything you make, you do with such ease of perfection, always looking delicious and perfect. Thank you for sharing those talents and showing such loving parenting, seen thru the eyes of your children, how they watch you with such interest and desire to learn and help! You are an inspirational start to any day, thanks for kicking my day off!

Always enjoy watching you Lynette, your bread always looks lovely x
Yum!!!! Love your recipes!! I make your “yummy bars” all the time-delicious and soooo good!! We took a day trip to Jamesport, Missouri one year and stopped at a Amish bakery and I had the best cookie EVER !!! It was a soft almost cake like sugar cookie with like a maple frosting and I can’t get it out of my head- it was sooooo good!!! I have scoured my Amish cook books and Amish websites and can’t find any recipes that sound similar. Would you know what they are or do you have a recipe ?!?!?
Everything looked delicious especially the cheeseburger 😋 yum..
Thank you for the inspiration! 🧡
Everything looked yummy!❤️
Thank you. I love to watch you cook.
Love getting the fun new ideas from you! I think I need that cook book! I am a cookbook hoarder so theres that!
I started making applesauce like that last year. I love it and absolutely don’t add anything to it. I use jonagold apples. It’s delicious and pink.😄
Enjoyed this video ❤
Your food looks amazing!
You’re such a good bread maker!!🍞
I agree that's the best way to make applesauce! Makes it so smooth!
Those loaves are perfection!
YUM! Thanks for the inspiration. Happy fall to one and all. 🍁😉🍁
Everything looked so delicious.
I just started watching your videos . It came across my KZread and I thought "huh this looks neat ". I am originally from Michigan, sorry you have to endear a home state with Ohio football ! ( just teasing) at any rate , one of my good friends told me they go to Holmes county once every couple months to see things and get stuff! We ,my mother and I, would go to shipshewanna and stuff a couple times a year. I moved to Texas 12 years ago, and before my mom passed away from cancer , we were able to go down there again. We enjoyed the shops and mostly the restaurants ! My hubby and I are planning to move to Tennessee or Kentucky in the next few months, we want a tiny home and we are hoping to have Amish build it for us . At any rate I love your videos and the cooking and stuff. I lost my left leg back in March and can't get around to do alot , but I still love to cook ! Also love the music you have on here. It makes me actually relax when I watch your video, so thank you so much and hope to see more !

Go Bucks!!😁👌🏽 we just went up to Columbus for the Penn State/ Michigan game last week 😃 I hope you will be able to find someone to build the home for you!
Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Lovely vlog .Homemade apple sauce is a winner especially if put into red fruits instead of high sugar content as the pectin in the apples make it sets into a jelly or jam if you leave bigger bits of red fruit. So appreciate your vlogs.🎉😃.
Made your cheeseburger soup. Excellent!!! Thank you!
Loved your applesauce recipe! May try that soon. Still planning on making the starter for bread. Love you! Have a blessed week. Thank you for sharing your life with me!❤

Thanks for sharing! Idea for a video, show us how to start a sourdough starter.
Thank you 😊Sharing your recipes ❤God bless you
That's similar to how I do my applesauce. Blended with the peels is my favourite
Many hours of cooking but a great feeling knowing that you have good and nutricious food for your family. You are a hard worker. Enjoy watching your videos. I am no Mennonite but I know know some around our area. We also love to shop at a Mennonite run bulk food store several miles from our home. We go there 2 times a year to stock up on things. Take care and glad you are getting those cooler temperatures after such a very hot summer.
