Here is a cheap distance blur can be used to fake Distance depth and focus the view on front elements for a light GPU cost.
Not something incredible, but can prove useful !

This is really cool, any thoughts on a way to scale the blur distance based on the distance of the camera from the player? Something kind of like a simpler auto focus

Hi ! You can take the arm length or just calculate de distance between camera and character in the character blueprint then send it to the post-process. You just need to make sure the post-process material is dynamic. In the construction script, create an instance of the material then set it in the post-process blendables. Now you can set any variable value inside from a blueprint.
