I think the core of the song is how men and women process differently. Certainly most women tend to hold onto to feelings longer. You get aggravated with one another, 24-48 hours pass, and men tend to move on (that is their resolution) while women are looking to work through the conflict (that is their resolution). The important thing to remember is that neither way is wrong, just different and both sides need to give a little in understanding the others feelings. In our 21 years of marriage my husband and I have certainly experienced this and we have a few guidelines. 1) I’m going to want to talk about whatever it is more than he will, so we meet in the middle. We try to not use the terms “always” and “never” because they are rarely true. Most importantly, we are allowed to use the phrase “this made me feel like ...” without argument. The first instinct is to come back to argue about how x could make you feel like y, but that defeats the point. How we feel is how we feel, and if you don’t have respect for that, you don’t have respect for your partner. A lot of this is covered in the book “Men are from Mars, women are from Venus”. Anyway, another great reaction video. Billy, we really appreciate you!

Maybe. But sometimes (often?) the silence is weaponized to keep you in your place. It's a way of saying that "Nah....it doesn't matter to me, so deal." If the relationship is important to someone, they want to work it out while the other partner loves to see them twisting themselves into a pretzel to make things right because it either truly doesn't matter to them or it is a way to maintain the advantage by acting as if it doesn't matter to them. "Whaaaaat?......I just kissed Tommie's hot cousin and gave her a little squeeze. Yeah....look at her chaise her tail wanting to talk about s**t. I ain't talking about anything. It's don't matter to me and I'll probably do it again. Show her who's boss. Clam up and freeze that b**ch out until she stops yapping." Been there, done that, got the tee shirt.

Calling you out yeah, those are the guys you leave and then they come crying to get you back. Then we’re like, nah, done that, got the T-shirt. The “loss” of a guy like that is always a learning experience, one that helps you identify the good guys.

I think it can also refer to attachment styles. For instance, if one partner is an anxious attachment style, they want to resolve stuff now and want to communicate because any little thing that is off with their significant other sends them into a panic. And if that anxious attachment is dating an avoidant who shuts down when the anxious person communicates, they may walk out, they may leave, they may grow distant and then come back when they feel it is right and the conflict has blown over.

I was in that same situation, he wanted me but also he wouldn't grow up! Every time we would make up he never changed. I ended it, he now says he knows what he needs to do, I told him he knew all along and never did anything so we are still apart but he's now in the friend zone. I feel better being single and not giving my all to someone who doesn't appreciate it until it's over

This is an extreamly well written song and Faith's performance is amazing. You can feel the heartake and pain in her voice Men, listen I mean really listen to country music and you can truly learn life lessons. After 3 divorces I now get it. Men your woman really is just asking for you to show her that she means somthing to you, that you truly care and love her. Thats really all she is asking I've talked to me 3rd exwife and after 19 years together she explained to me that this is exactly what I did to her. we've been divorced 3 years now and after rediscovering in a sence country music and this song I get it Lesson Learned

He left for a boy's weekend in Vegas on a Friday, and I had been feeling off but couldn't place it. So I told my coworkers, when I left that on Monday I was either going to have dyed my hair or got a new piercing. I dyed my hair black with blue tips. I loved it. When I picked up my fiance from the airport he said nothing until his friends complimented my hair. He literally said "why didn't you ask me first". It was that moment I realized why I felt off, and slowly realized I felt like I was constantly walking on eggshells, felt like i was holding my breath, that I didn't recognize who I was, I gave up my dreams for him, and I didn't like who I was becoming. It took a few months and a couple more massive emotional bombs to drop, but I found the strength to pick up my beagle and walk out. And now I try to remind people to pay attention to their gut feelings and that they have the necessary strength to leave. They just need to find it, and there are people willing to help you find that strength. 🙏😇💚💚💚

From what it sounds like, it seems like you are starting to realize that his behavior isn't acceptable. The more often you go "huh.... well this isn't okay," the more it feels like a fog rolling back.

It sucks when you don’t feel as though you are valued in a relationship. But.... I’ve found that if you value yourself and your relationship enough, you’ll speak up. Sometimes it’s not that your partner is absent in the relationship, but that they’ve gone silent to process other things (job, money, family issues) and are so preoccupied that they don’t realize that you feel shut off. Which is why communication it key. Of course, sometimes you can be with someone and find out that your first impression is right and everything else holds more value to them. In that case? If you’re not the priority...in the words of the Great Reba McEntire, “Consider me gone.” Love yourself enough to walk away from anyone who treats you like an afterthought.

Taking it back to the 90s big hair country ladies! I think this song can speak to every wife/leading lady in a relationship. We certainly process things differently than our men. My husband and I have a thing where if I say, "I feel like your roommate," it means I'm not feeling connected and we BOTH need to circle back and focus on filling each others love cups.

The relationship I had like this was actually a marriage. If I wanted to talk about what I was feeling was happening in our relationship, he would just walk away and get in his car and drive away. He would come back when he decided he wanted to. After doing all I could to try and make him realize how his actions were affecting me, I even locked the door to where he would have to wake me up to get in. That was 2:30am. After he stayed out several nights, I came home when he was there and started packing his stuff and threw his bags out and told him I had had enough.

I've been privileged to see her and her husband Tim McGraw in concert together. She's even better in person, IMO. As to relationships... I've been in one where my guy went quiet. Shut down, ghosted for weeks/months. I don't deal well with being "abandoned", I don't think anyone does. I tried to see him/call him but he ignored me. I was trying to end things because if he really wants to be with me he wouldn't go weeks/months with no contact, not one word. Finally I resorted to emailing him it was over because I needed to move on with my life and he wasn't answering calls or his door. He didn't reply but I bumped into him a month later or so. He apologized for not replying but nothing else. It hurt me so much because we had been best of friends for 12 years before we got together as a couple. I lost my friend. That's what hurt. He had always been there for me as a friend but once together as a couple he wasn't.

I would play this song for him and sing it right to him, and he still wasn't getting it...still didn't think it was a big deal. It went on until I reached the point where it didn't matter to me anymore...and that showed. He finally realized what he was about to lose, and we had a long talk about the fact that I didn't care anymore and was just going through the motions. He finally listened. We made some major changes and now, 6 months later, we are celebrating our 20th anniversary, and I am happier than I have ever been.

There is nothing worse than the silence, that's how my Granny was. Or the "I''m not mad at you, I'm just disappointed in you" I'd rather her whoop my behind or holler at me. We have a family reunion for my Papa's side of the family every year over memorial day weekend. We have a family property of 10 acres if I'm not mistaking (I have a huge family). But my birthday is May 5th, so the year I turned 21... goodness gracious! Because we all have cabins and no one really ever leaves the park and if someone does they go around and make sure to pick up anything that anyone may need because the nearest store is probably 10-15 miles away. Well, needless to say I had a few too many beverages... when I tell you I've never been so sick in my life I am not being dramatic. I didn't even have 1 single drop to drink until all the the elders in my family had gone to bed, because I was trying to be respectful. Well the next morning someone (one of my loud mouthed cousins, and I don't care if that was 13 years ago, I'm going to smack them when I figure out who it was) told her and I swear steam was coming out of her ears. We were leaving to head home that morning and it's a 4 hour drive to OKC from there. First thing she said to me when I got up was "Do you need to be driving, are you still drunk?" I said, "No ma'am, I'm fine. We got back to my grandparents house where my car was, she told me buy as I left to go home but she didn't say a single word that she didn't need to. After almost 2 weeks long silent treatment (mind you I had never gone that long without talking to her since I can even remember, and it didn't happen again up to the day she passed in March of this year), I randomly got an email when I was at work. From her. Summoning me to be at her house at a certain time so that we could "discuss my actions." She sent this on like a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon... longest couple of days in my life! To this day, my stomach turns at the thought of moonshine!

But if you both keep to the commitment you made (if it matters to both of you) you will make it back to madly in love.

It took him deciding to cheat on me, and me deciding to sign divorce papers before we chose to work it out... Once... Nothing has happened since and we finally started talking.

I spent 22 years with a man that treated me like garbage, we had two kids together and I tried to stay until the kids were grown. He'd call me every name in the book including a c**t in front of our kids. But I stayed because he had torn down my self esteem so some that I was going through the motions, not really living. But it was when my kids started parroting his words to me that I finally kicked him out of my life. When this song came out, it was like she was singing about my life at the time. This is the stage after the honeymoon stage of an abusive relationship. Take my advice get out now!

In your earlier videos you were doing some Toby Keith videos, if you get a chance check out something that someone called texas foy put together form the song The Dance by Garth Brooks yes it's not a military song but it's incredibly done to military personnel.

You gotta be kidding me. Literally just had this song in my head bc it's legit how I am with my bf right now. This is my relationship right now. I have opened conversations to help us fix it but there is nothing on his side. Literally feel like I'm alone in our relationship. :*(

Billy, I've got one for you. Trisha Yearwood dropped a video yesterday for I'll Carry You Home. Bring tissues. BYSE will probably come out. The song comes from her Every Girl album that dropped last year and I guess they decided I'll Carry You Home needed a video after the ACM performance last week. She killed it, btw...
