Fun video, thanks for sharing! I've always wanted a fairy stone from BC! I am a beginner rockhounder in Nova Scotia. I find beautiful agates, chalcedony, jaspers, epidote and unakite, conifer limb casts, trace fossils...even amethyst if you're lucky! That blue chert is beautiful, Nfld. has nice blue chert too. 😃

I've been to NS it's beautiful there! I didn't find much in the way of rocks though sadly, I must have been at the wrong beach lol! We should do a rock trade 😄

I think the blue piece might be banded chalcedony or agate, is it transparent? The huge mystery chunk could be a pegmatite kspar or a piece of porphoritic granite maybe?

The blue one isn't transparent so I'm fairly certain it's chert (but I'm no expert). The big one I have no idea...I'll have to research your suggestions- thanks!

@emlovesagates you're welcome, I'm still learning too. Good call on the chert, a very pretty stone.

Dr. Google says it’s a mixture of calcium carbonate and clay. 😂
