I think so too! I thought of doing a heart shaped picture. When doing the pictures they float around in the resin and to control that (to keep the heart straight) you would have to keep checking it and moving it back in place. I'm a little OCD so the heart not matching up would drive me crazy, but purposely putting the square at an angle didn't bother me. Oh and also I didn't have a picture that would work cut in heart shape. Maybe another time. But I completely agree that a heart shaped picture would look great 😊🎄 Merry Christmas!

Thanks so much Bonnie! I had always wanted to work with resin but didn't like that it was so toxic that you had to wear one of those special face masks. I love that this is certified non-toxic, no VOCs, no BPAs, no fumes, and is even certified safe to set food on (after it's hardened of course). So no need to wear a mask, unless you want to, but gloves are a must if you want to keep the sticky stuff off your hands. I'm sure you saw in my video that I wasn't always wearing gloves because I had to break up the gilding flakes. I love this resin and trust this brand. Even though I hate working around my laptop and stuff with it because I don't want to touch things and get resin on it, I think I will still try to do a few more videos with it so you can get more inspiration 😊💗🤗 Hugs....Janie

Just a little while I ago I realized that today is Friday the 18th.....exactly 9 months to the day.....I miss him so much and wish he was here. Other than that I'm doing good. Just got home a couple hours ago from staying at my son's house for my cataract surgery. Feeling lonely and sad but doing good. Thank you so much 😊 As for your question, that was shown in the first 1 minute and 45 seconds of the video. You should watch again, but what I did (and showed and told in the video) was pouring just enough resin in over the wires to hold the lights in place. I let it sit for about 2 hours before putting the next layer on. But please watch the video again, because if you missed that in the first minute of the video, then you might have missed other important things. Don't skip through it, watch it all 😊

Question can you glue the heart to the base? If so what should l use. Pls tell.❤😊 Lisa

I'm sure you can glue the heart to the base. I use Beacon 3 in 1, Beacon Fabri Tac, and Beacon Power Tac.....all work great. I have also heard of people using the resin. But using Beacon might be easier so you don't have to mix a new batch of resin. 😊 Hugs....Janie

I’m newish to epoxy and have started into picture frames I actually have this one. My question is how do I get rid of the bubbles? I’ve gone from tiny bubbles to no small one but to big ones. I’ve pushed them down and used a small scraper but still wound up with some. Am I pushing to hard? There are no bubbles when I place them face down.

Are you referring to all the tiny bubbles throughout the resin, or are you referring to the larger bubbles that can develope under the photo (front of the photo)? Tiny bubbles that appear thoughout the resin can be reduced by stirring your resin slowly, and also by using a torch (carefully) or a heat gun (you might have to watch one of my other resin videos). For the large bubbles on the face of the photo, I use something like a popsicle stick, or silicone stick, and push down on the back of the photo once you lay in in the resin.....pushing the bubbles out. For the larger bubbles, there is another option. You can place the photo in face up instead of face down. I hope this answered your question, especially since I'm not sure of your question. I feel I should have read your question more thoroughly because I'm confused why you would have no bubbles when the photo is face down.....for me that is when I take the chance of getting bubbles. It sounds like you are doing everything right, so maybe it's the resin you are using. I wish I could help more. To be honest, I'm still pretty new to using epoxy resin myself. Good luck 😊

Someone may have asked this. I am new to resin and I am making a memorial for my cat that just past a and I am going to use some silver flakes. Is there a difference between the silver flakes and the one your using?

Hi. I will do my best to answer your question. First of all I have no idea what flakes you are using so I can't compare. But I can tell you that what I used is not just flakes, it is gilding flakes which is super thin, pretty much weightless, foil. The link to it is in the video's description box (below the video). They are peices that you can tear apart to use, which is what I did. It is actually made for gilding. Use the link so you can see it and read about it. It's only about $10 for a set of 3 LARGE jars that will probably last you a lifetime. If you buy it I would greatly appreciate you using my link. I hope my answers has helped a little. The links to everything I used is in the video description box. If you don't know how to open the description box I will try to help. If you are on a computer, just click where it says "more", and if you are on your phone, I believe there is a down arrow to click on. You can use glitter or whatever you want. As for how much you should charge to sell these, I have no idea.....I don't sell them. I made these for family members and myself. You will have to determin how much it cost to make them using whatever products you use, and then decided how much profit you want.....and also how much people will pay where you live or are selling them. The picture I used is 3" square. You need to measure for yourself because your heart mold may not be the same size as mine. Mine will also hold a wallet size photo, or you might want a photo that is landscape direction. But most important, measure your mold and decide what will fit.....that's what I had to do.

Sorry.....I made those frames over a year ago and don't remember. If it doesn't say in the video, then I would just use 3 or 4 ounces at time. There are no rules, I just guessed as I went along. I'm sure you will find what works best for you. Sorry I can't be of more help.

@@jamesbarlowjr.3762 If you watch my resin videos you will see that I keep other molds ready to pour the excess into. Some molds are small and take very little so they are perfect when I just have a tiny amount of resin left over, and then I also use a flat round mold (shown in one of my videos) that is perfect for a coaster, and I can pour layers into over time to build it up if I want to. So find someting like that to do so you don't waste your resin 😊

Can I wait until the next day to add the color?

The next day the resin will be hard. It only takes 24 hours to harden. The color needs to be added to the resin while it's still liquid. I'm not sure why you would want to wait until the next day anyway. I hope this answers you question 😊
