Thank you so much Alexa! You not only helped me gain understanding of the past tense in your previous video but also the future tense in this video! Thank you :) Also, I don't know if anyone noticed, the stem ending for each conjugated verb of 'faire' in the future is like adding 'avoir' conjugated in the present for each person to the stem 'fer' in the future. This helped me to memorize the future tense! Thanks a lot Alexa

Guys, to remember this much easier you must see what the patterns are. Je ferais (the ending of fer'ais' is sort of similar to je vais (I am going)) Tu feras (the ending of fer'as' is similar to tu as (your are)) il fera (the ending of fer'a' is similar to il a (he is) and so on with on fera and elle fera^ nous ferons (the ending of fe'rons' is similar to nous avons (we are)) Vous ferez (the ending of fer'ez' is similar to nous avez (you are)) ils feront ( similar to ils 'ont' (they are)) ^ elles feront So the pattern here is, the end of the verb is similar to avoir, except for je ferais which follows the Allers pattern :)

Alexa, tu pourrais me dire, s'il tu plait, quand gens parlent français ils utilisent plus aller in le présent tense + l'infinitif ou le simple future tense. Par exemple: tu vas aller aux cinéma. Ou tu iras aux cinéma. Merci beaucoup pour tout ton travail

I have two questions, do you think learning online is better, or by using apps like Duolingo? and you said in your example "Je ferai la vaisselle ce soir" but when I checked online, it said that you have to add "vais" (Je vais ferai...) can you tell me why? Entertain xx375 Je vais faire = I am going to do (or make)... Je ferai = I will do (or make)... Je vais faire la vaisselle = I am going to do the washing-up. Je ferai la vaisselle = I will do the washing-up. I do not think you can say "Je vais ferai", but I could be wrong.

Marie Wiberg Sa = his or hers. It is "sa" because "maman" is feminine. In French, unlike English, possessive pronouns take on the gender of the object rather than the subject. His sister = Sa sœur. Her father = Son père. His car = Sa voiture (because "car" is feminine). Her bike = Son vélo (because "bike" is masculine).

To be faire we do overuse to do in English. Sometimes it annoys me so I make a big to do about it.

most of the time you would use "VENIR" to say "I come FROM", while Arriver will mainly means "arriving somewhere".

Thiruvengada Thangamani I don't think you can after "faire". From what I can gather, it must be " du" or "de la". " Du" for masculine sport, & musical instrument, words; & "de la" for feminine ones. For example: Je ferai du football. Tu feras de la natation. Il fera du piano. Nous ferons de la guitare.

I can manage short sentences, with the help of Alexa's lessons & the Google translator, but I am not capable of putting together a whole paragraph, as you have just done. Ahh okay. I have much to learn and as days go by I feel that I am forgetting many words, expressions and the various grammar nuances. Perhaps I may have a higher level in French but it certainly doesn't mean I won't learn anything from you. You may know a lot of things that I don't know. Dion Neal I think that with French, as with most skills, if you don't use it, you lose it. One just has to keep in practice. But you have certainly come to the right place for finding other people who are interested in learning French. I have to be honest, I personally have very limited spare time, and watching Alexa's videos, & having the occasional brief interaction with some of her other students (such as this one, with yourself) is as much as I can manage time-wise. However, you are the second person, on this channel, to directly ask me for this, & I have read several other comments (also on this channel) where people have been asking, more generally, for the same thing; so you are definitely in the right place. Hope you find someone soon.
