c'est car certificat est un singulier sauf tom et sam sont deux gens et vous aurez un certificat. it is because certificate is singular but tom and sam are 2 people and they will get on certificate

hello alexa! i am trying to learn the different between the future and future perfect tense of the verb 'avoir'. can you please explain what is the 'eu' in "j'aurai eu..." because if i write 'j'aurai mangé à midi' in the future perfect, the 'eu' disappears. thank you!

***** ah thank you! that makes sense now! with the past perfect and the pluperfect tense, i have a similar question. can you write the following? j'avais mangé OR j'avais eu mange? or does the second sentence not make sense? thank you!

kmaildavid It's quite good ! Bu we would say "dans ce quartier" rather than "à" because you say that it is INSIDE the neighborhood :) And rather than "sont les noms", we would say "portent des noms" because the verb "être" implies a physical state although it's true that in this context, we use "have" in english ^^
