I have to admit that I don't watch every video you post, and almost never on the drop date... but that's the same for other food-related channels I subscribe to. That said, I do watch ones that appear relevant to my interests! Being able to identify a quick summary of the content and approach of the video (via thumbnail and title) is key for determining whether a video aligns with my interests or current mood. Themed groups of videos can make that easier too, like your campfire cooking videos! I subscribed because I liked your no-frills approach and you didn't seem to be chasing an audience by putting on too much of a schtick like some other more popular food channels. I definitely think there are ways you could improve videos on your channel, or separate channel if you go that route, but I hope you don't fall down the rabbit hole of chasing an elusive "average viewer"! Also have to say that while you rock that mustache, I miss the beard 😉

Very interesting (in regards to first statement made). Because today I saw your page for the first time because of the spoiled milk video. Which then got me curious to viewing this video…😅😂 I think you’re interesting.

I wondered where you’d been! I enjoy your show but not all episodes tickle my fancy. With that said, I do lol forward to more content from you!

I've been subscribed for a while and view every video and have commented on occasion. I do believe you should stay in your own lane and do what you know but the harsh reality is viewers are fickle and tend to join cults of personality. My advice is to watch some of the most successful cooking channels and get a sense of how they are attracting and keeping their viewers. If it is because they are sexy or reckless then I'm sorry bro, you ain't that. But if they specialize or have a certain dynamic way they present their cooking you could do that man. I loved your cocktail videos. Don't give up, just pivot and keep pivoting until you find the right niche. Two things going for you is a great knowledge base for food and drink and you are are definitely quirky. Make that Quirk work and get some professional advice on making thumbnails. Wishing you a successful New Year.
