Failed Lift Tour.
31 July 2020, 1020 to 1040 | Initially wanted to do a whole lift tour here with a friend of mine. While waiting for him to arrive I went to the main entrance and was stopped by some "security guy", and he said that it was already closed, so the place was not open to public anymore.
Hence I waited till my friend arrived. Instead of going through the main entrance where that "security guy" was, we walked up the carpark to the 3rd floor, to the Fire Lift, thinking that we could access the upper floors and explore secretly by ourselves and joyride the elevators one last time, as long as we didn't touch the first floor via the elevators as the security personnel is probably there. (then exit via the carpark slope where we entered)
But since we were so fucking unlucky and had to bump into that same "security guy" on the 5th floor in the Fire Lift, we were chased out. The same guy even threatened to call the police on us if we didn't leave the premises immediately.
I guess this place ain't for me anymore. At this point, it is also really pointless to do one last filming of this place, since SO MANY others have already filmed the same elevators here, and have done WAY better videos, documenting the elevators here more detailedly than myself.
This place has already given me ENOUGH bad memories. From the boring church services which I often fall asleep at, to having others in my church group making fun of my elevator and train filming hobby, calling it "autistic". Just sick and tired of the shit I've encountered here.
Sorry for being so negative. I'm just voicing out all my truthful, honest opinions about this place.
Goodbye Shaw Tower! You will NOT be missed.

Really nice lift, shame about the locked motor room and getting caught lol!
I think I know why the security in this buliding are similar to the Ritz Carlton. Around 2015, six teenagers went up to the rooftop at this location you hate, which caused security to make strict measures in the buliding. Furthermore, one of the KZreadr's in SG actually was involved in rooftop mischief (you already know who's that YTper). I'm not sure if I've been to Shaw Towers before in my life but sadly I never seen it in it"s original shape.

The guy in civilian clothes doesnt look like a security personnel. Ask him for his security license in future.

@@_En1664 no. I visited on the 29th of July and the shopping arcade had already been fully vacated. In fact I don't think any tenants were in the building anymore, it was just the carpark that was open with several cars parked inside.

Oh,I see it's rather unfortunate that the last days of this place has to be during the Covid 19 pandemic,and that people in this building aren't actually friendly,but instead rather shady

@@_En1664 thing is that I visited with 2 friends on the same day as Shawn did, but in the afternoon. My friends got caught when they were riding the fire lift but none of us knew the building had closed to the public, so the management kindly escorted them out. When this happened I was still on the upper floors (we split earlier as they wanted to ride the fire lift while I still wanted to explore the tower) so after receiving a message from my friend I got out via the carpark ramp safely.

Welp,the building management could have just locked up all entry point except for the carpark to prevent people from entering.
Lucky u meet this guy, some places about to shut down may have criminals or non humans inside, if u know what I mean

I have seen worse security, yelling at me for trying to just LOOK into the motor room through a glass window. Then accuse me of trespassing even though it was open!

Guess what? Sheraton Towers (a hotel in Newton) busted me just for filming lifts, and said that I cannot film due to security reasons. I don't see any no photography or videography sign anywhere, and this isn't Red Zone (if you are NS men you will understand).
