I never thought about the fact that intamin didn’t make more of these. IMO Hershey has one of the best coaster line ups

Rides of this general type are best suited for smaller parks, and Gerstlauer seems to sell more of them in that market. Fahrenheit's one problem is that its capacity isn't great and the lines can get very bad.

Interestingly, Gerstlauer NEVER built a single coaster in China, ever. Basically, Intamin finally sold another beyond-vertical drop lift hill coaster in a market where Eurofighters aren't a thing.

Yeah Fahrenheit is definitely very underrated! A hidden Gem at Hershey!

This is basically Intamin’s Version of a Eurofighter. I really do like it. It’s my 4th favorite coaster in the park

Fahrenheit was my first coaster with a beyond-vertical drop, and that feeling of floating out of your seat while also falling forward out of it is really something special. I wasn’t all that impressed with the Norwegian loop, personally liked the Cobra roll better. The corkscrew and airtime at the end were phenomenal. Overall, incredible coaster, #4 in the park (Skyrush was closed when I went).

I always thought this ride looked underrated, I can't wait to ride it.

I used to always think Fahrenheit was okay. But oh boy I got a ride in the back row for the first time this past weekend and it changed my whole perspective. Truly a different and insane experience

WOW!! I did not expect him to give it a perfect score! This has GOT to be his second-favorite coaster at Hersheypark at the very least!

Agreed!! This was my first vertical lift coaster, the way you come out your seat as you going up is insane!!! With the way intamin is designing their coasters now(new elements) I would want to see new versions of this layout and what they can produce; another coaster on my KD new coaster wishlist 💙💛

It’s my home park, I remember when it opened. It was my first “big” coaster. Back row at night is AMAZING

I rode Fahrenheit 6 times in a row with Fast Track and it was great every single time. Easily one of the top 3 coasters in the park

This is one of my favorite roller coasters! I agree with everything you said. I'm a pretty tall guy so the restraints bug me a little because I feel a little squished but honestly I have that problem with most restraints.

Awesome 👍 bruh I love when the ride go up side down so fun I never got on that ride before but it looks like fun . I have actually been to nots berry farm back in 2018 with my family on vacation and we were on a cruise first time being there it was awesome and so much fun . take care.

When I went to Hershey park last summer for the first time (I live in Texas) both Fahrenheit and Storm Runner were both closed. Sad day, but can’t wait for the day when I can get back and ride them

I’m glad you like this one Taylor… I hope it gets more love… But I really think you should re-evaluate your distain for the winged coaster! Those babies give you a unique perspective and are far cooler than a one trick dive coaster, pony boy. I am a 53-year-old woman who loves me some wild eagle!

This ride type is underrated. They really should have made more of these. I love Fahrenheit! So much happens in that ride in a small space, and the elements are so interesting/unique. Ops are a bit slow and it has a slight rattle towards the middle/end of the ride, but it's a great ride.

The cobra roll definitely has the most noticeable rattle of the ride it doesn’t feel good

I love it it’s my favorite roller coaster at Hersheypark it’s like a buffet of inversions packed into one coaster Amazing✨

Technically a park in China did build another Intamin vertical lift coaster called Barracuda, but yeah. There really should be more of these

I’ve ridden this, and IMO I found this more fun than storm runner, and it goes above skyrush because of the bad restraints.

I rode this for the first time on Friday, and in the front row. I used to be scared of vertical lift hills, but I came off surprised at how good this thing was. But what I’m more surprised about is that neither I nor my sister greyed out (and we have a medical condition that probably makes others prone to it, but somehow, we’re not…).

The way I got on this ride was pretty funny as it was opening weekend, and very busy. This ride had been closed all day, but I suddenly saw the ride opening up like at around 3, jumped in line and was first to get on. Probably the luckiest I've ever been. The ride was 2 hours rest of the day. I looked behind me and the queue line was almost full.

Rode it in 2012 last. Great ride from prior experiences

Having finally gotten over my fear, I've been going to so many parks and we did this first thing in the morning in the back row. I have never felt so terrified on a ride than this. That first drop actually made me feel like I was gonna fly out. The rest was also amazing with its pacing and not letting up on the intensity.

What did you think of Skyrush in comparison?

Totally agree! I love this ride, but the line can be so horrible. I got lucky on my 2020 visit, on my visit when I met you at the end of the day at Skyrush. Before that, Fahrenheit was a walk-on for awhile, and I marathoned it. Last year, I went here at park opening for 1 or 2 rides, and that was it. The line got so long so fast.

I rode this for the first time last week. I had a fast track pass. It was hilarious standing in the fast track line alone and looking down at the lowly peasants! 😅 The ride was super fun. I wish Intamin made more of these models.

4:13 Whew Weee look at that track vibration for the next few seconds. Awesome. I'm sure the reason it didn't get sold was Gerstlauer competition. You'd go with tried and true company that doesn't have issues with nearly everyone of their attractions. Often deadly issues.

This is my favorite ride at Hersheypark it’s so well paced.

I think that one of these would fit perfectly at Michigan's Adventure because they're small, not too expensive, and the low capacity won't be a big deal because it's not like the park gets long lines anyways.

I've only ridden it twice but remember laughing the entire time. It was really a fun ride.

Totally agree. Fahrenheit is outstanding. I like it just as much as Storm Runner and even more than Skyrush. Your reasons for why Intamin didn't sell more make sense.

They should bring one of these for a Cedar Fair park like Cedar Point or Canada’s Wonderland! It would be amazing :D

I prefer the feel of this ride to the Eurofighters because you don't have those huge losses of momentum at the tops of elements because of the longer, heavier train. It makes the pacing of the ride feel so much more fluid

I agree with everything about this ride. I remember going to Hershey Park back in the Summer of 08 and remember this being new. I was very intimidated by this ride for some odd reason because its not like Kingda Ka. But I chickened out as soon as I saw that vertical drop. I dont know what it is about vertical drops. It gets me feeling uneasy all the time. And i have no problem with heights.

This ride is great! The first time I rode it, I greyed out on the drop and that airtime hill is amazing even in the middle of the train. I was shocked at how powerful it is. The line absolutely is terrible though 😂

I've only been to Hershey once and it rained up until an hour before park close, so I only got to ride a few of the lineup. Maybe it was the cold and the rain, but besides Candymonium and Skyrush the other rides were forgettable. Fahrenheit felt super jerky and the line sucked in the cold. I might need to go again to see if I was wrong!

One of my favorite Roller coasters of all time. It’s at least number four usually number three once in a good while it’s number two. I do not like the soft restraints because they are too bulky. The first harder restraintsYou can fit better in them.

I’m at the park now. Fahrenheit has a massive wait. Sucks since it wasn’t open in the 6 times I visited Hershey last year.

Went to Hershey for the first time last week and the operations were so bad and this ride was down all day horrible experience sad I didn’t get to ride this probably would’ve been my favorite in the park

Parks most likely are not purchasing these because eurofighters are way cheaper, just as marketable, and have a similar capacity. Fahrenheit's long trains also make it difficult to add blockzones and train storage for increasing capacity, which isn't ideal for a coaster that is supposed to be "compact".

This is my 4th favorite coaster in pa behind Phantom, skyrush, and curtain. Idk why my friends love to hate this ride

I was there just 2 months ago and I almost didnt get to ride because the harness was to tight. Not on my stomach, but my shoulders because I'm tall. But I distinctly remember the plastic harnesses so I don't know if they had one of each type of harness but it was a bad experience for me.

I rode Fahrenheit last summer and everything was great. One thing that got to me though is when we entered the cobra roll, I remember a jarring rattle while sitting towards the back of the train. No one seems to mention this though. Anyone else notice this? Not like it was painful I just find that it was substantially different from the rest of the ride and no one seems to mention this lol.

This is one of the reasons I call Hersheypark a "Jack of all trades master of none." park.

Fahrenheit's OTSR along with storm runners are smaller and tighter than i305's and Mavericks OTSR even though they're the same. if you're tall, you may be surprised how tight it is if you even fit

I mistakenly thought it was a Dive loop but I realised it was a Norwegian Loop, thats a weird name for an inversion, but Fahrenheit is still an incredible looper that is worth the trip to Hersheypark

Couldn't ride it because, for whatever reason, the safety belt that connects the to the vest is MUCH shorter than Intamins with similar restraints. I don't fully understand it.

It is a good ride but for me personally it is the 6th best coaster in the park does not have the intensity of Wildcat ,Storm Runner, Skyrush or Great Bear , Candymonium is not the most intense ride ether but the floater airtime is great and a much more enjoyable ride then Fahrenheit .

So sad that there are only 2 build at this moment and the new one is still under construction in Asia. And that would be the second one. (This is the second Intamin Vertical Lift coaster: Barracuda - Fuli Ocean Happy World.)

The cobra roll does Vibrate though it’s honestly very weird

Only thing I dont like is the capacity creating lines that are huge sometimes.

B&M surf coaster has the nimble trains to take on a similar coarse by a much more reliable manufacturer lol.

I think this isnone of the most underrated coasters worldwide... Great forces, a complete layout mixing inversiones and airtime, confortable trains... I think they días not sold more because the tag price, because Gerstlauer offers "the same product" way cheaper. However, when you Rider It, you realize that this is NOT an Eurofighter.

Is there some reasoning behind all the weather-themed attractions at Hershey? Farenheit, storm runner, lightning racer… is Pennsylvania just known for having a lot of weather or something lol

This ride is much better with the vests. It was awful with the old hard plastic restraints

Gonna dosagree on that final score. I don't think a ride with this kind of capacity that isn't a legacy classic belongs at Hersheypark. It's a great ride and I loved riding it during Coaster Con when there was ERT. Is it worth a 2-3 hour wait in a park with a ride of Skyrush quality though? Absolutely not. I mean we're not talking about something like Kennywood's Exterminator where people actually line up for a Zamperla ride you can find basically anywhere, but the ride quality does not deserve that wait. I'd say 8-8.5 would be my final score, with points deducted for the average wait vs ride quality ratio. Now that I've said my thoughts on the ride I will be one of those metric system users; should've been a 100 degree drop and called it Celcius. That would actually have meaning rather than just representing any other hot temperature.

There is another intamin vertical coaster coming to China which looks like Fahrenheit but better

Unpopular opinion but i would not mind seeing this ride cloned. It’s a perfect compact layout which thrills guests. It’s also amazing and i love to ride it. But i understand if they prefer a euro fighter or if Hershey wants it to be a one of a kind ride.

I do believe there's another version of this in China.

Hey Taylor and Sarah do you know why Hersheypark likes to open their new coasters in presidential election years or is that just coincidence? Here are some examples: Wildcat in 96, Lightning Racer in 00, Storm Runner in 04, this one Fahrenheit in 08, Skyrush in 12, and Candymonium in 20. All opened in presidential election years. How do you like that? Happy Memorial Day btw!
