Ilkin Dovlatov is singing Mugham, it is traditional music of Azerbaijan. In 2003, UNESCO proclaimed Azerbaijani Mugham a "Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity". It was added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists in 2008. Also Mugham is among the music of The Voyager Golden Records, which was sent to galaxy on the board of Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977 by NASA. Azerbaijani mugham, a unique musical and poetic phenomenon, was created on the basis of the historical and cultural traditions that have existed for centuries. It is one of the most valuable monuments of the material and spiritual culture of Azerbaijan and the greatest achievement of the musical and poetic art of the Azerbaijani people.
