A newbie will often find these old girls are FARRR MORE simpler and easier to use than say a Mazac, HAAS, or a Mori. I love Fadals for their simplistic natures. We got 3 of them in the shop.

Very helpful videos, thank you. I just got 3 vmc15/xts. Same here, used to Haas, mori, even had a tormach. Fadals are just a little weird/older/different. Fyi fadal newbs..g54 is 'e1' . I was sooo confused when my g54 didn't show after post processing😊

Amazing and easy to understand. Can you explain how can I: set zero part, zero tool, load program, run and lately erase stored programs?

You appear to be setup in a different format ( 1 or 2 ) than my controller, but if you hit a wall, I'd be happy to help you out. Some programming gremlins can be frustrating to figure out. I also have a 7 part series on the Fadal for beginners on my channel.

"Hola" good videos' what type of post processor does this machine use

  • @bgwmachine

Raul, the machine itself does not use a post processor - the way it interprets code is fixed and does not change. Post processors are used on the CAM side of programming when you are creating the tool paths and want to export those moves/program to the language of the machine. I use fusion360 and use the standard Fadal post.

@@bgwmachine so cool, do u have a USB port on the fadal machine?this machine does not have a USB port , and I use fusion 360 so how can I make it work? Thanks for your comment , I wasn't sure if the post processor would work on it

@@henrypenner437 I have USB, SD, and Ethernet available on the machine. I installed myself and made a video awhile back to help explain... my main way of transferring files is thru an FTP as I have my machine connected via Ethernet to my network. If u have a DC analogue ..it has 'normally' SIGnal , LOOP Gain , Current limit pots + Balance potsOf course it can be named differently (vendor and version dependent)SIGNAL SIG is for the input signal level setting... so all the axis have the same "error" numbers next to them at the same feed (in the manual u have the process...) LOOP GAIN - LG is for the stability of the servos (overshooting , oscillation) Current limit CL is kind a ... it is there but no big fuzzBalance BAL .... the manual if needed. - usually u can set this to zero the idle error.Tachometer TACH pot is unpopulated (maybe) - to set the voltage / 1000 RPM level... usually 7V / 1000RPM in Fadal
