Loc extensions can be washed weekly regardless of whether they are synthetic or human hair locs.
Loc extensions do not require maintenance. They require regular maintenance at the root, just like normal locs. The joint does not require maintenance. It should be permanent and guaranteed.

I wanted to get loc extensions for several reasons. One being prom was coming up and I was interested in getting locs to start a new experience. Two I have carpal tunnel even though I am 18 and sometimes have to wear a splint, brushing my hair was difficult for me. So when I did this lady wrapped the “extensions” around my hair without even washing it before installing it to my head. She put them in as if they butterfly locs and they were hanging on for life and slipping:( honestly ruined my entire experience and made me insecure about them I know now never to go back to her took me over 3 days to take them all out

I mainly wanted them because I’m getting tired of my hair being stuck at this bob length I just want my hair to go past my shoulders and somewhat reach/touch my back I don’t want it too long. But the lady who installed mine did it in a way where it was going to fall apart after 2-3 months which is exactly what happened. I was so upset about it I wish I could get them again but by an actual professional. We spent at least $900 for the install and more for my prom hairstyle she didn’t even try to match it to my natural hair color at all

Was your hair thin or damaged I noticed you gotta make sure you wash your hair before install them I learnt my lesson from that so I had to start over but when they in there they in there shouldn’t be no slipping

not evry stylist is good at attaching locs crocheting is a skill and a lot of these stylists don’t know how to properly do it she should’ve tugged on your hair a lil to see how strong they were

@@Butbaeitsderick so true I thought maybe the loc extensions was t matching my type of hair then found out they just wasn’t installed right I noticed interlock the extensions then crochet the root helps a lot

Why would it be any different, except for being your own hair? I've known people that had their locs reattached and they've had them for years with no issues at all.
So loc extensions wont come off my entire life
