Kris McDred

Kris McDred

Doing locs is a hobby. I started out by helping my sister, then friends. Before I knew it, people were demanding my services. I tried to find better ways online to maintain and start locs but could not find.

Finally I figured out,. 1 day I uploaded a video without any plans. And now it looks like I'm here to stay.

I have so much to share. I hope you stick around.

I was always told to wet your hair first so it can lock in the moisture. Is that not true?

It needed to be said. Thank you for sticking up for the locks and for loving others. Wigs, weaved hair, braids, straight and curled, we all have done it at one time or another in history… fashions come and go, so why not express yourself… thank you again… it felt like a hug

Thanks for the content. I learned a lot before starting my loc journey. I feel much more equipped to care for my locs properly. Question: I don’t use a lot of product. I use an aloe/lavender water spray and my homemade oil. I wash weekly. But lately I’ve noticed an itchy scalp. I’ve been loc’d almost 4 months (Instant locs). They’re doing well but my scalp is a bit itchy. No dandruff, no flakes or anything. Any suggestions?? Thanks ahead of time.

Europeans had matted hair or dreadlocks thousands of years ago. Their hair is suited to it naturally. Dreadlocks on Jamaicans came about in the 1930's.
