Doing locs is a hobby. I started out by helping my sister, then friends. Before I knew it, people were demanding my services. I tried to find better ways online to maintain and start locs but could not find.
Finally I figured out,. 1 day I uploaded a video without any plans. And now it looks like I'm here to stay.
I have so much to share. I hope you stick around.

@@exileduniverse imagine if I did everything everyone on the Internet told me to do?😆😆 I'm sure there is a man who can listen to you. I have a wife whom I listen to. She loves the beard.
I don’t got 4-6 weeks money Og😭
Audibly verbalized “oooooh I trust this man” out loud alone in my flat the second he said anointing the hair 🙏🏾😩 automatic follow
I was always told to wet your hair first so it can lock in the moisture. Is that not true?
couldn't watch or hear the video cuz i was too busy listening to yo hair talk yfm 💯
Sorry but dreads were way before normal humans see SHIVA
So do not use water first?
You have great vibes
You said you never mix oil with water, so is it bad to oil hair after washing?
Can you comb out if you’ve been getting crochet retwists for over a year?
Isn’t this the hair scraps they sweep up from the temple floor or other locations? 😮😱🤢
I had a student tell me “my mama told me not to call them dreads because there is nothing dreadful about locs” and that kinda stuck with me✊🏾
Thanks for the knowledge
My Hair Did Started Itching When I Started Using Coconut Oil That Might Be The Culprit
It needed to be said. Thank you for sticking up for the locks and for loving others. Wigs, weaved hair, braids, straight and curled, we all have done it at one time or another in history… fashions come and go, so why not express yourself… thank you again… it felt like a hug
Hi 👋🏽 so basically you’re saying only use water to moisturize your Locs daily don’t use oils at all .
Thanks for the content. I learned a lot before starting my loc journey. I feel much more equipped to care for my locs properly. Question: I don’t use a lot of product. I use an aloe/lavender water spray and my homemade oil. I wash weekly. But lately I’ve noticed an itchy scalp. I’ve been loc’d almost 4 months (Instant locs). They’re doing well but my scalp is a bit itchy. No dandruff, no flakes or anything. Any suggestions?? Thanks ahead of time.
1. Balding 2. Postpartum shedding 3. Stress (emotional) 4. Over twisting 5. Tight styles 6. Under twisting 7. Covering all the time (l will do better) 8. Over touching 9. Lack of Vitamin D (sun) 10. Sickness Thanks for getting straight to the point.
I'm a Muslim and I have to pray everyday so I chose interlocking and I love them
Kris hopefully you discuss this more when we meet at your workshop in Brooklyn NY this October.
Interesting..... does the cons outweighs the pros . For example many ppl complain about damage or lost of hair .
You the only dread man to go longer than 5 yrs haha everyone else losing their hair or cutting it off its sad out here
But I locked my hair with palm rolling for 2 years …. How did my hair loc then?
Priceless Thank you
Facts❤❤❤❤
Kris…what about interlocking and crochet locs/dred methods…how often for those?
I'm with you on Time and Water. I am on my second set of locks and I tell you I loved my first set. I used to wash and go every morning
Omg…THANK YOUUUUUUU!!!🎉🎉🎉 If the loc/dred community would stop being so hung up on the most ignorant things, we would be sooooo much better as a collective. Are those who use artificial hair appropriating a horse or plastic cup?! 🤭 Let it go…choose peace. 🕊️🕊️🕊️
Kris McDred is the TRUTH. 👑👑👑
Peace ❤
Where can I obtain the crocheting video?
In India it had a meaning to it
The most beautiful video i have watched on dreadlocks . The Speaking is just wow!

Same here! I did my starter locs all in 1 day. It took me 8 hours, my shoulders and hands hurt sooooo bad!
But not tell us what kind of oil? 🤷🏽♂️
dude you’ve just about been the best damn person for loc advice i’ve been able to find over the years. your videos helped me start my first set of locs in high school and they helped me start/maintained my current set
Pimping is strong with this one
He said you get the "Americano" then "Cappuccino"...😂😂 that floored me. Great curls, great advice for locs... Thank you brother 💪🏾🙏🏾
Old white tribes has dreadlocks. Vikings or German tribes. Even their beards were dreadlocks.
Tell em again
Europeans had matted hair or dreadlocks thousands of years ago. Their hair is suited to it naturally. Dreadlocks on Jamaicans came about in the 1930's.
