Teach there is something you could research regarding Jamaica being the only country where Ackee is eaten. A number of years ago I watched a program called "Hill and Gully Ride." In one particular episode they featured Barbados and the program revealed two interesting things: (1) People in Barbados eat ackee also. But here is the strange twist: (2) The fruit we call Ackee in Jamaica, they call it guinep in Barbados and what we call guinep in Jamaica, they call ackee in Barbados. And they eat both ackee and guinep. How true Hill and Gully Ride is? I don't know and won't get into who or what is correct. I am merely highlighting this documentary where I saw and recorded this info. Maybe you can dig up some info on this unique perspective. I found this so interesting that I had recorded the program but not sure where I would find that video tape now.

That information is indeed correct Bro, i will look into it
Just pointing out that George William Gordon was born in 1820 not 1815. Love the video though.
Look at education difference between Cuba and Jamaica and less than 160km.
Wasn't Port Royal incorporated as a Parish, making it 15? and the language of Jamaica is now called Jamaicaan. Because it is so distinctively unique, and is spoken no where else, hence Jamaicaan?

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (James 4:8) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
