I always loved that cry, and now I know where it comes from.

I still remember Kanto's binoculars to this day. The concept of multiple Legendary Pokémon might sound odd, but it does apply that they, or at least the birds, are just cryptids or extremely rare Pokémon.

I've got a theory that the first two legendary trios are common Pokemon revived with Ho-Oh's Sacred Ash, but when they were revived their forms changed and they got stronger. The reason there are multiple of them, and different forms, is because of the unpredictability of how the Sacred Ash will change them as well as the fact that Ho-Oh probably routinely revives deceased Pokemon, at least in the Johto/Kanto regions. Entei: Flareon Raikou: Jolteon Suicune: Vaporeon Articuno: Pidgeotto Zapdos: Fearow Moltres: Dodrio

To be fair.....In Super Mystery Dungeon, Yveltal was only "evil" because of the chaos entity corrupting him and possessing him. Same reason for Nuzleaf. Even in the post game when u connect with him, he says something about being redeem for his actions. Its kinda funny, because in the gen 4 movie, Darkrai was actually good but in the explorers mystery dungeon game, he was evil.

Yveltal was actually under the influence of Super Mystery Dungeon's Big Bad, Dark Matter. After being directly battled, Yveltal was freed from Dark Matter's influence, and immediatelly attempted to attack Dark Matter. He was turned to stone as a result.

Here's a fun fact. Until the age of 7 (I started playing Pokemon at 3) I thought Articuno was some sort of new form (potentially some sort of form similar to a shiny) for Pidgeot.... Yes I thought the Legendary Articuno was just a Big Blue Pidgeot

Dialga is _technically_ the first Pokemon to get a Primal Reversion... if you could call it that, as Primal Dialga is closer to a Shadow Pokemon than it is a primal form. As a more concrete fact, it's also one of the few spinoff-exclusive forms. And I'm still furious that Origin Dialga doesn't reference Primal Dialga in any shape or form.

what do you mean it's not a reference to primal dialga in any shape or form? Primal dialga and regular dialga have the same shape and only the colours change. I do agree that origin form should have referenced it in some way because I'm so tired of hearing people call it the worst designed creature in all of media. It kinda breaks my heart like a very minuscule amount but I guess there's nothing that can be done and what we got is what we got. It also sucks that origin giratina gets a different ability to the altered form but the other 2 origin forms keep pressure and telepathy. Why gamefreak?! So much missed opportunity :(

Well, people only talk about Charizard and Typhlosion because they're from back-to-back games and are both fire type starters. With Xerneas and Yveltal, it's kind of the point they do since they are in the SAME generation and are diametrically opposed to one another, being the embodiment of life and death respectively.

They could easily change it so Xerneas and Yveltal have different base stats in the newer games but they kept them the same. (Maybe they forgot to change them but I don't think the process works like that and they probably have to program the stats in. I'm just guessing.)

I loved this video! Though, I do disagree about terapagos being a reference to the turtle with the world on its back. I'm pretty certain it's a reference to the sea turtle that carried Urashima Taro to the palace under the sea. The Urashima tale fits well with Violet's theme of the future, as the hero returns to his home after a century has passed. The mask dlc is clearly a reference to Momotarou, so it makes sense for both dlc to be tied to Japanese folktales

17:00 While it is possible the world turtle is a partial inspiration for Terapagos. I think the Minogame from the tale or Urishima Taro is easily the main inspiration. I mean that tail is a dead give away. Funny enough Squirtle and Wartortle also have design inspiration from that legendary turtle. Terapagos might have connection to two myths past terrapin starters have been based on. That is interesting to think about, and makes me love it.

Considering the word Tera means Earth, I think world turtle is the most likely factor, but multiple inspirations have contributed to a Pokémon’s design though.

I actually didn't know the lakes the Lake Trio are at are actually also real world locations, I probably should have figured due to regions being inspired by real world locations, but that's a level of detail that's just really cool

Cool fact i noticed: the treasures of ruin and swords of justice perfectly match up with each other type-wise. The sword's fighting type obviously deals with the dark type, but each sword is countered by a tresuare's primary type (keldeo vs wo-chien, virizion and chien-pao, terrakion and ting-lu and cobalion and chi-yu)

The Ozone Layer does not protect the earth from asteroids. It absorbs solar ultra violet radiation(type uvb). Objects breaking and burning up in atmospheric entry are caused by the rapid compression of gasses. When gas is forced to compress it generates heat which transfers to the object pushing against it and rapidly melts them before they can impact the surface or there to be so little that impact causes minimal damage.

Zygarde's signature moves were also introduced in 2 different generations: Land's Wrath was available in gen 6 while Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves were in the code but unavailable. Core Enforcer was only in gen 7 though and was available along with the previous 3.

The legendary beasts’ battle theme being present in RS has been widely regarded as more of a tech demo than anything else. I believe it's more than likely that Gamefreak know that fans would be upset if they could not receive a shiny so they put them in even where it doesn't make sense. There can only be one original dragon, and thus one Zekrom and Reshiram. I believe a better lore explanation is the classic, "each save file is it's own universe" line.

I know Shiny Celebi is canonically different in the mystery dungeon games but that's about it

Fun fact: every legendary had their own item in the Spaceworld demo, but only the Sacred Ash and the Berserk Gene made it to the final. This is also why Lugia doesn’t have one, it wasn’t added at that point. It does seem it might’ve been intended to get one as it has data to hold something, but it’s empty.

Terapagos is not a world turtle. it's based on the Dragon Palace 'maned turtle' folklore story where someone goes to a palace at the bottom of the ocean after saving the maned turtle from being bullied. The protagonist receives a Jewel Box that contains their life span, as when they exit the palace 300 years have passed. Despite warnings, they open the box anyway and die after aging up 300 years.

Regarding the Legendary Beasts' remix in Ruby and Sapphire, there are a few other Johto themes with remixes in the game's code as well. They were probably made to sample and test the Game Boy Advance's sound quality.

In Gen 2 when you transfer Pokemon from Gen 1, the item that they are listed to have 100% chance of holding when caught are held by the Pokemon when traded into Gen 2 from Gen 1

I like legendary Pokemon that are shown to have populations and are not one-of-a-kind, just really rare, like the Latis, and Lugia which is shown in the anime to have a baby stage of life.

One could wonder if a trio master for Koraidon & Miraidon might at some point be introduced somewhere in the dlc packs

If the theory that the Paradox Pokémon are created by imagination and Terapagos' power to turn dreams into reality is true, then technically Terapagos is not only the trio master for Koraidon and Miraidon, but also the master of all of the Paradox Pokémon.

There are more than 1 of each legendary pokemon canonically in pokemon. This has already been stated. Hell Arceus makes more of the creation trio whenever they are caught by trainers or other things happen. There is cannonically more than 1 Arceus as well, it literally tells you that the form you catch is just but a small fraction of itself (don't remember which game that was in tbh).

The gen 9 legendaries are more similar to gen7 than you might think at first. Compare the ruin pokemon to the tapus. Both are 4 pokemon. All of them share a typing fairy for tapus dark for ruin pokemon. All of them have similar abilities all tapus setup a terrain while the ruin pokemon lower a particular stat. They have the same signature move just named different. Ruination vs Nature's Madness. Ultra beasts can also be compared to paradox pokemon in that they all have the same ability like ultra beasts

That's my headcanon too for the Tapus and the Treasures of Ruins. They're supposed to be counterparts to the Kami quartet but I couldn't see any connection.

Walk in and walk out of a building continuously* until one spawns, but also like i said, need to have a catch combo of at least 11. Ironically, catch combo 11 exactly is about, if not exactly as effective, as having a 30/31 catch combo in the lets go games

That Xerneas mode switch tricked me man. For the longest time I thought I had a shiny Xerneas.
