In this episode of Factory Fridays, we visit Cigarette Racing Team's boat building facility in Opa-locka, Florida to get an inside look on how this legendary builder designs and constructs their high performance boats for their customers. Host Marilyn DeMartini joins Carlos Ruga at Cigarette for a in-depth tour of the boat brand's building process and philosophy.
Founded by Don Aronow in the 1960s, Cigarette Racing Teams remains one of the most famous brand names in the performance boat building world, and is synonymous with the entire market segment. Cigarette boats continue to push the envelope in terms of innovation and design in the world of powerboats. From the 59' Tirranna center console beast powered by a whopping 6 outboard engines on her transom, to the sleek 42-foot Auroris and the blazing 515 and 50' Marauder SS (with 3,100 horsepower) go-fast boats, the company's line of vessels remain greatly coveted to this day.

World best complete one stop boat manufacturer company! The officer in charge is extreme courteous and patient and detailed officer! He deserved to be successful
Shout out To Anna Marissa !!! (And many other there !) It's impressive and awesome that you all do such good work- having that level of professional ism and pride in yer work is greatnesss!!! Just insane craftsman ship quality and work going on. That's a serious quality boat build!
Just watched a Midnight Experess video right before. Looks like a different universe here. Gonna order one.
I just ordered mine solid black with tan interior with 5 mercury 450 hp racing engines can’t wait to go through haul over with it !!!!

It’s good to see Cigarette back on top. To me, they are a lot like Ferrari in F1. Without them, the industry will survive. But, with them strong, the industry is at peak performance.

Everything about cigarette is custom. Its not about top end speed, you can find speed anywhere. Cigarettes do it in style and make it a smooth comfy powerful experience. Cutting through 2-3 footers at high speeds with ease
Observation: The conference room looks like a Title Company. Why not a boat hull and custom boat seats? And nauticle stuff?
Imagine working with fibre glass all day and wearing just a disposal respiratory mask
nice and shiny...
Gotta hurt to walk with that stick up there!

I prefer non stepped Apache v Hulls, but that's one nice, and professional factory.
I can’t believe they don’t scrimp!
OSHA would have a field day at this place. The 50 year old methods without proper protective gear for their employees is really disappointing. When companies prioritize their employee conditions the byproduct is always an increase in quality and efficiency.
Observation: I notice all the "Clean factory" "Dirty factory" comments are people without avatars, videos to share, and probably never snorkled.
gorgeous = to which all others are judged
Observation: If the upholstery id so good why do workers have crummy seats. Like seats thrown out at the curb in Little Havana?

@FartOnDale - Gee, on my screen that's what I noticed. Cad guy sts on a Key Lime crate? Once in Chicago as a contract engineer I took in my own seat. You can guess why. I don't have many workers but we all have Steelcase with more adjustments than some cars. I think they payed for themselves many times over. But for a boat company. . . never mind.

I love the Cigarette 515s with the twin Mercury 1350/1550s in them. Thar's a badass power boat. If I had $2,000,000 to spend on a boat that's totally what I'd get.

Not every company vacuum bags all of there parts and hulls. Take Formula for instance who vacuum bags only about 50% of their parts. I can see your point though with what appears to be nothing vacuum bagged

@@jays9211 I'm not as knowledgeable about the power boat sector as I am about Sail Yacht manufacturers, but I have certainly noticed that the majority of the major players world-wide have transitioned to vacuum infusion with vinyl-ester resin. Not only are they focusing on building hulls with superior structural performance that are virtually osmosis-proof, but also keeping their workers' exposure to resins and loose glass fibers to a minimum.

Since I was a child I always loved these boats on the other hand I really can't stand the name of the company it's like why??? Maybe cigarette should really consider rebranding its name because now that I'm in a financial position of acquiring one of these bad boys I must be honest I know It might sound irrational but as a Muslim the name does bother me maybe that's why you guys aren't selling well in Dubai or Abu Dhabi for instance at least that's what I've observed from my experience living and doing business in gulf countries...
