We need a South African series!

This season was...fine, but it felt like it was missing a lot of the heart that made some of the other seasons great. There were SO many references to how the previous year's Millfield team was unstoppable, and how this team hadn't done so well during the normal season. Why not explore that? The fact that they had that burden and then got better throughout the season would have been a much, MUCH better series.

Didn't give a squat for who won or who lost. Immaterial. But thrilled to see two teams gathering together in the "spirit of the game." A Game that's supposedly played in Heaven.

I played in the very first world schools festival with our college, rico gear was playing for gizbourne, and john smit for pretoria when he ran out on to the pitch i literally crapped myself as i was number 7 for our team and didnt want to tackle him

About time that assistant DoR got put in his place… Shouting and screaming at the lads (even though it’s just from a ‘positive’ place of excitement) is horrible coaching “Let the boys play” is exactly the right phrase, touch of class from the DoR

@@BruceWayne-dc4bf I know it's hard to accept. The top 1st xv in South Africa was beaten easy by Hamilton boys. Your U20s with home advantage, narrowly squeaked into the semi's by way of having an easy pool, and the Springboks are no longer thought of as the All Blacks biggest foe. France holds that mantle now. We always expect to beat the boks these days.

@@JaemanEdwards yep fair enough, but One bad result against Hamilton doesn't mean its a decline mate, then again anybody that knows the politics in SA will know not to read too much into the U20s as it has to adhere to strict quotas and the coach was a joke. But again, fair enough enjoy your time in the sun bud.

I've seen those games where Saffa schools are beating low ranked NZ teams. Never the best. South African rugby is on the decline. We don't even see the Springboks as our toughest foe anymore and always expect to beat them. France is the All Blacks main foe now.
