This story and the people of Gander still melt my heart. I hope they’ve all been blessed with happiness and joy, as they most certainly deserve the best. ❤ One day I’ll visit and pay my personal respects as an American to such an amazing group of people. ❤
Newfoundlanders are definitely the kindest, friendliest people, so the “plane people” were in good hands. We vacationed there a few years ago from Ontario and the experience was very memorable.
After all these years watching the bonds that were created still holding strong is soooo heartwarming. Love from Greece ❤❤❤
Oz Fudge. Can't get better than that!
Fantastic people - hail to Newfoundland.
Get her done is a Newfoundland slogan way before 911.
The whole east coast is like that I know. It is often those with the least who will give the most.
Canadian from Ontario, here: You guys are our brothers! (That means that we'll always relish messing with you... But only WE get to mess with our brothers!)
the rest of newfoundland did way more than gander for those 2 weeks, 8,000 people stranded in st.john's the capital city.

Not a competition. The story of Gander is representative of the entire province, and that has been pointed out in the documentaries

You are wrong, both factually and morally.
