I respect Dermalogica and have learned a lot from them in becoming an Esthetician but I’m also a Massage Therapist and there are two things about the IDI massage that just aren’t good: pressure going DOWN the arms and the incorrect use of the words “petrissage” and “frictions.” None of the movements used in this massage are actually frictions or petrissage. Pressure should always be applied most intensely going upward. That being said, I’m not disrespecting this routine; I’m simply telling the truth.

You can’t compare body massage with facial massage , firstly the face have a lot presión point and the péttrissage and frictions,You aren’t esthetician so you comment is Inrrevelent😁

Hi I've just started using dermalogica age smart range after a facemapping in selfridges London . Been using the 4 recommended products religiously am / pm for 10 days . Amazing results but my face has little dry almost scaly patches , sides of nose, chin & around eye area , although I realise perhaps shouldn't have gone as close to eye with cleanser . The 4 products I'm using are Skin resurfacing cleanser / dynamic skin recovery am / super rich repair pm & multivitamin power firm . I have terrible under eye bags / puffiness that I cannot seem to get rid of . Any advice please . Sorry for interrupting your page , wasn't sure where to post ! We don't have dermalogica stockist nearby , I prefer to visit somewhere reputable like selfridges . Thank you in anticipation .

Dave, hopefully you've receive a response elsewhere by now. The skin resurfacing cleanser may be too strong for you to use every day, and you should not use around your eyes. It's a highly reactive lactic acid concentrate and will tend to dry and potentially damage your skin if it's not the right cleanser for you and/or if you use it too much. Without knowing what your skin type is, if you are able to use a mild physical exfoliant to help with the scaly patches that would be good. If your skin type is dry, use the skin resurfacing cleanser only once or twice a week. Dry skin should be using a milky or creamy cleanser if sensitive. You might want to try Barrier Repair to help protect and repair your skin. Your under eye bags could cause by anything from heredity to diet/lifestyle. Try a hydrating firming gel and use cool globes that have been refrigerated or cooled in a bowl of cool/cold water (you can find on Amazon) which will be soothing while helping to absorb the gel. This is the best advice I have for you without seeing/feeling your skin. Best of luck to you.

Essential oils should never, ever be used on the skin. They are not skincare, they are fragrance.

Melissa M you can definitely use essential oils on the skin, they have to be diluted with a carrier oil which is what she used.
