Very Informative and useful. I just purchased a galvanic unit without a rheostat, but remember the ones I saw in school. Should I return this unit and get one with a rheostat? It is the Skin Act model.

Rheostat gives the option to adjust the current. If yours doesn't have that, it is simply a steady state. Totally fine. I prefer non Rheostat. Easier to use and no adjustments necessary.

@@thefacialrx7384thanks for the reply! it does have a dial to adjust "strength " I've been using it on myself today. I appreciate your response!
Do you have to always use the negative polarity first before using the positive to introduce serums. What if a client doesn’t need disencrustations?
@thefacialrx7384

Great question! The answer is no. If the client does not need disencrustation, you can always just use positive current for the penetration of products like serum and ampoule.
Just curious how I can do galvinic on myself. Can I tuck handpuce under my leg. I would want to feel what client feels b4 I do procedure on them

you can absolutely do on yourslf. as long as both ends are in contact with your skin to complete the circuit. As far as feeling anything, you or your client usually don't feel anything except perhaps a mild tingling sensation.
Would your mind telling us what brand your galvanic machine is?

This is not my machine. This video was made at the Dermalogica Institute. I merely reposted it.
I would like to know if it can be used on the scalp. Some machines also indicate it for that, others do not. I can't find any video of someone using it for that purpose.

Usually a good Moisturizer with vitamin c can help. However, the skin usually goes back to its normal ph level naturally pretty quickly.
Can you use a facila gauze with the galvanic
@thefacialrx7384
2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Great question! This saves you the hassle of having to drape the face with multiple pieces of gauze.
@thefacialrx7384

Absolutely. I actually prefer it to bare skin. It allows for more slip and glide on the skin. Just make sure gauze is porous enough that current gets to the skin.

Sorry about that. This is an old video from the dermalogica institute. It is more for the instruction than it is demonstration.
You should wear a mask . Makes me gag when a skin therapist talks over a client spreading their breath and spit on them. Always wear a mask. Period. And always cover clients eyes so solution does not run into eyes . 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

While I appreciate your opinion, it is YOUR opinion! I am not performing this facial in the video! It is a demo from the founder of Dermologicas Institute whom I have NEVER met, nor have EVER been. I have been in this business for over 16 years and have never once had a complaint about mask or no mask or not followed proper procedures! I hope your clients aren't so quick to pass judgment on you as you have to my video post here today. Its not so fun when someone makes comments without being informed! I see you personally have no videos of your own and only this one nasty comment to my channel, which tells you are either very young or very social media inept. Try doing some more background checking before you stick your foot in your mouth again please.
