Imagine yourself at 16 years of age. You have your whole life planned out, or so you think, and your parents announce that you are moving to Canada. That was the experience of Meryl Ochoa who moved from the Philippines to Canada and was immediately thrust into a new environment. This is the story of how Meryl not only adapted to her new surroundings in Stratford, Ontario but how she used her personal experiences to create a career for herself in theatre. While it was a difficult road, she is now grateful as she recognizes the difficult choices her parents had to make.
