Focus on affordable, accessible housing appears to be key to a number of issues discussed. What I clearly heard is the need for subsidized ACCESSIBLE Auxiliary Dwelling Units within the existing community.

An important message is that if disabled people don’t have safe, secure, suitable housing and support, the quality of life and health of the individual, their family and the community declines. Caregivers are unable to fully contribute to society, resulting in additional cost to taxpayers under different Ministries. Providing well-designed non-profit housing, aids caregiver employment and supports businesses encountering labour shortages and puts money back into our community.
