Actually Love, Hate, Love is the most difficult song to sing and this dude sang perfectly. But voice is not an instrument that you can put new strings and it will always soud the same. There are days that our voice is worse than other days. It also dependes of the duration of the show, maybe he was a little tired because of the other songs that came before.

He’s mimicking a live show that’s a specific one where Layne sung like this. I could easily tell cuz that was my favorite AIC live version. Where he adds in the yeahhh after “I’m the dog that gets beat”.
