As a proud owner of a clean 06 350Z Revup, this shit makes me cringe. I cannot blame the trash talk. These cars bottomed in price pre-Covid and every ricer fanboy started buying them and ruining them. They have become the new Honda Civic. It makes me sad. The only saving grace is that clean examples will go up in value as the drift kids continue to wreck them.

I’ve been wanting to find a 2nd to just make a clean street car out of. The HR I have now is in rough shape but I’m going to take this car with me as far as I go in drifting and actually make it clean rather than just leave it as a missile. @houcitydriftllc7168 i get it. I am configuring mine for handling and windy roads. Straight racing is not my cup of tea, but a windy mountain road is. I figure If I can get approximately three hundred wheel horsepower with the handling already have, I'm good. But I cut my teeth driving in insane roads at high speeds. I watched a lot of american drivers, Particularly in mustangs, Leave their cars wrapped around a pole or a tree.

As long as there are tons of parts and donors I only really care if: • it's a manual transmission. • it hasn't been wrecked, ever. • the parts is still intact even if the vehicle runs poorly. i.e. blown head gasket, alternator failure, sensors failure, and failure of the catalytic converter. • if they haven't 'modified' it with saws and drills, or, removed OEM mounting locations. • lastly, if they haven't purposely fucked up the paint with a home depot repaint using some wood paint. I can fix all of the problems and replace all of the parts at home but not if the above criteria aren't met.

I am lucky to be honest. I know that I got an automatic rather than manual, but I was lucky to have found a 350z with little over 100k miles completely well mantained and not driven by a teenager with intent of destroying it, I ended up getting my hands on it for just over 1,000 dollars after a drive south of my home about 45 minutes. Car ran from the day I bought it minus a small issue with the starter (that just took a little tap to fix), and had no problems at all aside from needing a little bit of gasoline and having a few ants on the exterior from having been parked under a tree for a few weeks. It's done me very well for the past 2 years

I won’t lie, I’d rather have a bone stock/unmodified auto cheaply than a clapped out or riced manual for the same price. Most likely, I won’t take my car to a track so an auto while isn’t great also isn’t the deal breaker. A clean auto car is a lot more appealing than a one that has bolt on wings, a torn up interior and a full rattle can job.

Fun fact i did an auto to manual swap with some upgrades, cost only about $1500,$2000 and if you can change a clutch, you can do. Was done in about 2 days

i got for £4000GBP a 130k 2007 HR 350z GT with BC BR coils, the RAYS, injen dual intakes and other engine work, agency power ti single exit, sparco bucket seats, recently repainted, nismo v3 front bumper. no engine light no issues drives insane and dynod 319whp, its the best thing that ever happened to me i bought it when i just turned 18 and i have had it for a year and a couple months now daily driving it and its the best feeling to have such a dream car at 19, and the car is absolutely the most fun ive had driving, it beats the GTR, cayman, type r, mx5s, 3 series ive driven before for fun and responsiveness all round. when found clean and worked on they are amazing cars and last a eternity, the HRs also dont burn oil like the DEs do

I think the hardest part about them is people still want them to be cheap. Their price went up a lot as did everything else, big deal. Also time has passed an 04 Z is 20 years old now, that means there is less of them to find. Also so many people want to treat them like show cars instead of push them to there limits.

I don't know how every 350z got so messed up. The only one's worth saving IMO are the manual HR's. The idea that anyone would "build" an automatic sports car blows my mind. I thought everyone knew that the autos are not the real ones.

A kid that lives near me bought one a few months ago. He came FLYING by my house everyday for weeks, doing like 80 in a 35. I think he was timing himself in a loop you can make. This loop goes by 1 police station, 2 schools, and the rest is residential. Good choices were not being made is what I'm saying. I haven't seen or heard it come by in a couple weeks now. I'm guessing he broke it somehow. I'm going to drive around the neighborhood soon to see if I can find it. I'm betting it is in a driveway on jackstands and will be there for years.

I remember some kid in high school with got a bone stock 350z and I had the displeasure of seeing it recently. He absolutely ruined it. Mf cutting the springs, put some shitty wheels on it, new bumpers, louvers, and a giant sticker across the windshield that says “broke boyz” or something like that

If you're gonna' paint worn out plastic, do it properly: Remove panels, frog tape correctly, check numbers to see if it's sandable plastic or not. Sand plastic, adhesion promoter, then either Rust o Leum atomotive primer, wet sanded, followed by Rust o Leum paint for plastic from a spray can, wet sanded, 2nd coat of Rust o Leum paint for plastic from an actual paint gun...
