Thanks for the video and the content. One quick suggestion, I have a broken front camera but working face ID. I'd like to replace the camera and transplant the data from the Dot,IR,Flood Illuminator from the original (working) to a new front camera module. This should not require soldering right? Can I use only the programmer you use at 2:21? Thanks a lot

is it possible to use face id without the original dot projector? i've read the data from the origianal dot projector before it was broken in half

I2c programmer worked to flex i2c and worked flex jc?

Hi if i get read data NG from original face ID after water damage is there any way to repair it? or is the encrypted chip damaged? i opened it up to take a look and the projector seems fine so i used dremel tool on mosfet and did the jumper and now i get everything OK but still i2c NG and that will automatically make a Read Data NG. Tried new flex to check if problems were there but nothing there. The IC chip with capacitor you get with the kit is it for this kind of repair? i have checked the gold wires and seems ok( not under the underfill and that is were the positive for i2c is right?

Before any move you do with your face ID module or CPU or Flash, we recommend you copy your data. Then you repair things. Also, phone brand, model decide which part should be done together.

At 4 40 why you remove encrypted chipe and solder it back? Is it the same chip or different one?

The same chip, remove it for jumping wire

Hello after dot projector repair and correct alignment I have an issue when setting up Face ID. When it scans the face it stop randomly and says please try again and reason is because metal frame is bent, are there any tips to fix the metal frame? I try to adjust but always get the error.

@@CINOTechnology what tool is it? I have the dot projector calibration tool to align with the glass so it works correctly. But I never heard of a tool to align the metal frame for the infrared camera, front camera and dot projector.
