Yes you could but you may not get a ton of lift

Hey there! I want to touch up my roots at home. I have ashy medium brown hair with all-over highlights. They're pretty thin and I actually want to apply chunkier highlights on the roots. When I use 20 vol would it cause damage when overlapping with the previously bleached hair? I also have 7 vol but I think it wouldn't lift too much. My roots are level 5. Thank you in advance

Great questions ❤️ so I would do 20 vol at your regrowth since your natural level is pretty dark and then the 7 vol with a splash of 20 vol for your ends since you do not want to cause any damage and to also make those ends look chunkier. It all depends on your rate of growth but typically 6 weeks is perfect for wait time ❤️
