He had to retire at 24 . Tottenham Hotspur medical staff saved his life. He's a Tottenham legend and he never played for them.

Wasnt it also a fan in the crowd who happened to also be a cardiologist that played a huge part in saving his life? I could be wrong but im sure I remember reading it at the time.

im honestly concerned that conte is in talks with eriksen to sign him. I mean im not a doctor and i'm def not Eriksen, but i was watching this when it happened and when i think about it I still go pale, it was horrific to see. I also think of Nouri from Ajax, at 20 who survived but suffered lasting brain damage. We all know Eriksen is a legend and one of the great center mids. I think I will feel very nervous anytime if eriksen was on the pitch. Glad he is in good spirits though and it seems you certainly can't take his love for the game from him.
I'm a Gooner, but the way Spurs fans, players and support staff conducted themselves on the day of Fabrice's collapse and return was brilliant, uplifting and I'm proud of every one of you. Humanity plays for every team #Gooner

Rivalries aside, I'm sure the Arsenal crowd would do the same if the situation were reversed and it was an ex-Spur who was in such terrible danger.
When they chanted his name must of been so emotional
As a die hard gooner, I will never forget the Spurs reaction. Pure class. 100٪ class
Wishing Eriksen well along with Fabrice.
I was at the game when he collapsed (I'm a Spurs fan) and you could feel the nerves of everyone in the stadium. That whole evening I was checking online to see if he was alright. He is so lucky to be alive! God bless you Fabrice Muamba!

Probably Arsenal fans that have disliked it. Hate Spurs don't they?
It's so disappointing that he had to retire at 24, but at the same time it's fantastic that he's still with us, that's all that matters, life is way more important than football, we love u Fabrice, Legend!!!
Not gonna lie, looking back on this brings tears man. The way Spurs showed him so much love and class, treating him like it’s his boyhood club and a legend returning, great show of class from them all. Well done to Spurs fans and amazing moment for muamba!
From a Bolton fan, Tottenham fans ,staff, the cardiologist in the crowd, the stewards, respect to you all,you did a great job.thank you
Believe the crowd chant will of been encouraging to his spirit as the doctors said his survival was very unique. So it’s thanks to the crowd too 👍
I was there the night he collapsed and i saw him carried off not moving and that will always stick in my memory so i was thankful i was also at this europa league game when Fabrice was able to walk out on to the White Hart lane pitch and hear our admiration and respect we have for him. He will always be welcome at spurs if he ever choses to visit again.
I can't believe that some people would dislike this really?
Even 8 years on from when it happened - this gives me chills. Yes I'm an arsenal fan for the sake of the game, but take nothing away from it, life is bigger than a sport. We are all human, and if it can happen to a fit athlete, it can happen to anyone. Lots of respect for everyone involved and the way the teams handled the sensitivity, from the BBC to the club's involved, the referees decision to abandon. I wouldn't want to carry on in that situation if I was a player of either side.
78 minutes? 😢. It’s an absolute miracle he survived. ❤

It brings me to tears watching this. Football is such a beautiful sport.
I wish erricksen a good recovery
I wonder what goes through his mind as he stands there, hearing all those people clapping? Learn cpr, it saves lives!
i cant't help but shed a tear everytime. I was there at the ground. kinda forgot the situation but looked back it for the first time in like 7 years. he's a spurs legend
your fans were wonderful and showed so much class, as a bolton fan we will never forget their kindness after the game
God love him. We are all only a heartbeat away from death. It was a miracle he pulled through. MUCH RESPECT FROM A LIVERPOOL FAN. YNWA.
10/10 to the fans a well deserved awesome reception .
Had tears in my eyes watching that after all these years, remember the other guy who wasn’t so lucky who died were he fell, sorry forget his name, prayers 💙💛💙💛
Must be bittersweet hearing his name chanted by the fans knowing he’ll never play to hear that again. Very emotional watch.
Such a horrifying moment that led to something beautiful when he walked back out onto the pitch. So much respect for how the medical team reacted so fast and went about their jobs in such a fast and professional manner. I had open heart surgery at 2 years old due to having what's known as Fallots (hole in heart). I'm now 20, and I'm fortunate enough to push myself to the max despite having heart to lens as a kid. There really does need to be more check ups for heart problems. Much more awareness needed, especially in sport. Muamba was so lucky, bless the guy. But this Young lad I knew lost his dad in front of his own eyes as he suffered cardiac arrest on in a 5 a side game. It's crazy how things like that go unseen. Hopefully, despite how almost tragic it was for fabrice, positives have come and will continue to come from this in order to promote awareness for heart conditions in the near future
Such a beautiful sight, no matter what club he played for, everyone together with him. This is football💙🤍
Wishes and prays to eriksen. Please 🙏
I wasn’t at the game where he collapsed but I was at this match and the joy of seeing him walk back out onto our pitch was enormous. It was so emotional and everyone was so happy to see him walk out smiling. He even joked about in trying to get us to pinpoint the exact spot where he went down. The love us Spurs have for him will be everlasting. One Game - One Family.
Such a lucky man to be alive! well done to him.
Arsenal fan here. Well done spurs for this gesture. Enough said.
respect from a chelsea fan, so happy for him!
it's my first time here and i am so HAPPY to share this video with you ^^ and it's good to hear that he is alive
The conduct of everyone at Tottenham that night was magnificent.
A British commentator once said "I have to say I'm running out of words to describe this lad", as Cristiano Ronaldo smashed that amazing free kick against Portsmouth. Today I must say I'm running out of words to describe these people. These wonderful BPL fans. I wish I lived in England so that I could experience what it's like, that wonderful feeling, every saturday afteroon... And this, this unbelievable sportsmanship, that makes you cheer for another team's athlete as if he was your own...
Still makes me cry now :'(
Blessings from above. what a guy!
Respect from a Rotherham fan!!
He literally came to my school, an inspiration.
Hard to watch this without getting emotional. Amazing ending ❤

God Bless this lovely man Fabrice Muamba. The Angel's of Heaven worked hard that day also I can assure you. I hope after that evening that when he returned to the ground after being so close to going back home to Heaven and staying there, that when he returned and was bought round he was able to lay that memory to rest of what happened to him that night in his Earthly life and move on with the rest of his Earthly life time as best as he could. I remember seeiing this like yesterday, and I prayed he would be ok. I remember being just shocked at the way he sank down to the floor. God Bless you Fabrice Muamba and your Family Amen xxx

Bless, this was one of those unifying moments. I remember the game where his heart stopped there wasn't a single person in that stadium who wasn't worried about him and after the game almost every club in the league showed their support for the guy and his team. HCM is a very dangerous heart defect, he was very lucky that he was in a stadium so close to one of the best chest hospitals in the UK.
Fabrice Muamba Greetings from Saudi Arabia : ))
Bless him. Right place at the right time.
How can people dislike this ?
First time I've seen this. Top drawer from Spurs 🖒
AMAZING RETURN!
gives me chills UNITED FAN
Truly brings a tear to your eye. This is what the beautiful game is all about. The fact that while he was playing for Bolton, a fan of the opposing home team came on and basically saved his life (I’m sure as well as the other doctors too.) Fabrice came through the Arsenal academy too which makes it even more heart-warming to see him receiving this kind of reception at White Hart Lane. Class! 👏🏼
