This is exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't get realistic results for a thick raincoat until I went through your explanation and could finally adjust the settings the right way. Thanks a lot, keep it up!

That was clearly helpful, thanks a lot ! I wanted to ask you something not related, when I use the weft or warp shrinkage to enlarge a pant ( for exemple ) it works but the tissue looks very weird, ugly and not realistic, even if i increase particles distance, it feel like the garment is corrupted by that step, how can we use this option and keep a quality look/simulation ? thank you very much.

Hi MGB Core. Thanks for the question. The Warp and Weft options scale your garment without changing the geometry, so it effectively changes the particle distance to keep the geometry the same. Increasing your warp and weft scale, increases the particle distance, even though the MD particle distance setting on your garment will stay the same. I would suggest that if you change your warp and weft values, then you decrease your Particle Distance accordingly, something along the lines of reducing the particle distance by 10% if you increase your warp/weft by 10%. Though you might have to experiment with that. However if your garment mesh is to be used externally, especially if you are creating morphs for it I would set a lower PD to start with, so that when you increase the Warp/Weft the quality is still good. I hope that makes sense.

@@3dmegaverseJohn Thanks for your reply ! sure it make sense, but that strange because I already tried to make PD adjustements when changing shrinkage, the garment will still look like puffy/gondolas, anyway I appreciate your point of view and I will keep trying.

This was so helpful ❤ I was tired of the dresses I put on my characters sagging all the time, when I changed it to denim, the dress became very stiff. Now I have to look for a material that is something in-between 😅 But the behavior of the material was something I had no idea about. This is a game changer for me. Would you happen to know how to tighten a section of a dress, example, like the wasit? Can parts of the outfit be resized? 😅 Sorry I'm a total noob when it comes to Marvolus Designer 😔 Thanks again! ❤

If you have a parameter named bending with a scale of 100%, what would you expect if you set it to 100%? That your fabric will have more bendiness. No, stupid developers made it inverted to fuck your life.
