Fabric Glue Review for upcycling (E6000, Aleene's Fabric Fusion, Beacon Fabri-Tac, Unique Stitch)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I have been using fabric glue for the various upcycled clothes and other reuse and repurpose projects around the house. After being frustrated with all of them at some point, I decided to do a fabric glue test to see which one really works the best for my DIY jean jackets and other Do It Yourself clothes redesigns.
I tested E6000, Aleene's Fabric Fusion, Beacon Fabri-Tac, and Unique Stitch. These are merely the ones I have used and had in the house. I will be testing more fabric glues in the future as my findings indicate that they all work well to one extent or the other, depending on the fabric you're using.

Fabri-Tac is difficult to use and smells awful but it is the only one I use to make doll dresses and doll wigs using alpaca fibers. If you transfer it to Sugarbelle icing bottles (available on Amazon) and the silicone caps, it is much easier to dispense and Vaseline on the bottle threads helps with strings. It is incredibly strong , and I’ve never had it stain or even show. I’ve never been able to easily remove anything applied with it. Which is a good thing. Amazingly, can dye right over it and it will give you a uniform color. It’s definitely my choice.

Your comment is really helpful I am supposed to choose Aleene's over Fabri-tac. Not sure if Aleene's can do well on lamb fur.
Thanks for helpful video and also the laughs. You are so fun to listen to. We love your personality.
Good informative vid.. thanks for sharing Im start gluing a couple extremely large t shirts together
Thanks for the test. I would like to know how they hold up in the wash after that.
Gorilla Glue has a tube like E6000 and it’s very similar in stickiness but it smells a little better. Some say it sticks less, some say it sticks better. I think it works pretty well though.
which will be best for rubber
You should call the manufacturer of that watery glue and ask them if they would send you a new bottle for free.
Does the smell go away after time???
Any update to your glue preferences?
Hi Cat, Did you ever test more glues? Thanks!
The E6000 actually for Fabric has little to no odor...
Hi any updaTes of these glues...need prement. Bought cheap top of of Zulily. It has a pin hole in the frabric the same top same color (bought 2 in pink) fabric cotton. Has formed 3 larger holes. Did not want to sew this because my sewing stuff is buried and connot get to iit. I really wsh there was a clear dot I could put on the back of these holes and I could still wash it nd would stay on. HELP! Not really a sewer...thanks Susan
Have you tried speed-sew. It seems that the glue works.
That stitch one needs shook up. I know because i had it too.
I’ve tried SEVERAL 🙄 waste of *CENSORED* money 🙄 I’ve tried all of what you tested and ONLY 6000 Stays true *I used it to add buckles to my black jeans in 2008 AND IT REMAINS UNDEFEATED* MY tip use a toothpick to spread it AS YOU GO and wait 24 hours for it to set
