You only realise how big she is when you see her outside. She is obviously free to go where she wants and she chooses to be with you. That speaks volumes for the way you care for her and all your birds. You have opened my eyes to the world of falconry. You explain things so clearly and your filming is excellent. All this and looking after a baby too. Thank you xx

Yes, Ravens are large birds. I remember this many years ago (1987) while lying reading (probably Douglas Adams) on the grass in Regents Park on a summers evening. A raven landed quite close to my feet and seemed to be taking a serious interest in me. I made an encouraging noise at it, (as you do), and it hopped closer. Well at this point I think, ‘blimey they’re a lot bigger close up’ (I know-Duh). I think I actually spoke to it then and I also noticed that other people who were enjoying the evening air were watching this exchange with amusement. So it hopped even closer and was now only a couple of feet away. Brief images of a particular Alfred Hitchcock film flashed across my mind as I thought, now what? As I sat up, it came even closer, so I stood up quickly and instead of being spooked as I expected, it actually moved right next to my foot and pecked at my shoe laces. Anyone who’s ever dropped something hard onto the top of their foot will know that it can hurt, as did this. I instinctively kicked out, so said raven flew very briefly into the air, landed next to me again, and this time managed to grab my lace starting a miniature tug-of-war with me. At this point these days every phone in the vicinity would be trained on me, alas there were no video cameras around to record the 21yo, 6ft tall, 13 stone soldier rapidly leaving the Regents Park heading for the nearest pub, having been beaten by a kg of Corvid. Possibly whilst thinking ‘…. A relaxing quiet read in the park… Nevermore! ‘. I still love them though.

Oh man I was so happy that I got another friend stopping by! He always leaves me gifts, ravens know us humans like shinny stuff. My little wooden box is filled with gifts from my raven. I can understand why people who have never seen your videos before might be concerned (sorta, insofar as there are a lot of people with animals on youtube who really shouldn't have the animals in question), but it takes looking at 1 or 2 or your videos tops to know that Fable is well-loved, well-looked-after, healthy, happy, and has copious mental stimulation and environmental enrichment. She's just lovely! I was fortunate enough to have rescued a fledgling crow many years ago, when I lived in North Hollywood, Ca. When she became fully flighted she came and went as she pleased until she joined a flock. I named her Nevermore, and, when I would go outside and call her name she would come and join me in whatever I was doing. I was ever fascinated at her insatiable curiosity and wonderful sense of humor and boundless affection. I'd love to have another like her, but I now live in a small town in Southern Illinois, and I could never trust her safety around here. They were off-limit in North Hollywood, but around here it's legal to shoot them. Unfortunate, but true. I never had a raven, but crows are like ravens in miniature and are wonderful companions. I envy you and your relationship with Fable. Beautiful. Les Lannom

I suffer with a CNS disorder, I’m in a lot of pain but one thing I’ve really enjoyed after being made redundant is learning. Working in digital engineering and watching all the videos you posted about Fable, I’ve loved reading about the many different subjects from problem solving and intelligence to learning about linguistic displacement. We see the love, care and dedication you show towards these wonderful birds and see how much they love you in return. It goes beyond that, you’re educating us, at the same time encouraging and inspiring us to be curious, expand our learning so we can all make a positive difference even if it’s something really simple.

So lovely to see both of you. I could watch your interactions all day. I "knew" ravens were large birds but nothing prepared me for how fabulously fabulous Fable is - she really is a beautiful creature. The respect both of you have for each other is beautiful to watch. Fable is very fortunate to have such a human on her side and you Amy are blessed to have Fable. You have a wonderful relationship and it is an utter joy to witness

Shes beautiful!! wow. I just seen her singing & talking by herself, wow its amazing how they mimic sounds. My Uncle Tommy found a raven years ago, she was injured. He called her Blackie, and he made a home for her under his back porch. We live in the city, in Philly, but in his yard, you would never know it was the city, as he had a garden, rabbits, a little pond - it was gorgeous! But, He ended up nursing Blackie back to good health, and she never completely left him, she lived there for years!! She could come & go as she pleased, and she always came home at night time to go to sleep. Uncle Tommy thinks she was with her Mum & family, as she was pretty young & small, and she must've got left behind when she got hurt. He guesses thats why she stayed with him & never left. Its kinda sad, but he absolutely loved her & she had a great life with him! He ended up moving after she passed away. Now he lives way up in the mountains, on a nice amount of land and he has chickens, hens & roosters and a big beautiful pond with koi fish, turtles, and wild ducks & geese come around in the summer time!! He has a little dog & now a stray cat just came up out of nowhere, so now he has a cat, too. He is the animal whisperer! LOL

I love this bird so much! My partner and I both love her. For several months now, whenever one of us says the phrase “what’s that?” In our daily lives, reflexively, the other one repeats it in a Fable voice. And we start laughing. It just never gets old. :). We were so impressed when we first heard her say “what’s that?” So basically, she is always on our minds even when we haven’t seen her in a video recently. Lovely to see this video of what she gets up to outside! I have told so many people about you and Fable and put them onto your channel. Thank you so much for providing such wholesome and cognitively stimulating entertainment. It’s such a needed distraction from so much of the junk stimuli that bombards us from the internet. Fable is such a marvel!! And you are so wonderful to her. The bond between you two is truly magnificent!

It's obvious that the people who posted bad comments haven't seen any of your other videos. Fable and your other birds all look really healthy and balanced. And you always take a lot of time to explain your work, show how you take care of your birds, etc. I can understand that some people may not like keeping birds in captivity, but saying you're birds are not treated well shows that they don't know anything about your work (and haven't tried to educate themselves). That being say, it's so cool to finally be able to see Fable outside!!

What an amazing scenery our dearest feathered lady lives in! And as always, it's so endearing to see how affectionate she is. She could go anywhere she wanted, but instead she'd rather be close to her bonding partner. I wonder what would happen if she was introduced to a juvenile male raven and if they could become friends.
