Unbelievable that I never see videos like this from actual car reviewers. Glad someone is finally giving us content we actually want Came back to edit this comment. WOW this is a far better video than I originally thought. He talks through EVERYTHING and presents extremely well. This man deserves the biggest raise for the content he is creating for Ford and this dealership
You guys helped me figure out what trim and engine I wanted in my f150. I live in NY. I tell everyone shopping for a ford to watch your content
This is an amazing channel! Your genuine thoughts are just so refreshing compared to the nonsense of other dealership videos. 💙
Mitchell, as always you knocked it outta the park. Excellent job giving differences of the trucks and your personal opinion is appreciated and does make a difference. Keep up the great work and videos 👍
You’re honesty speaks volumes and it is much appreciated.
4A, Dual Climate, painted grill, push button start and soft open tailgate were the reasons I went with the Lariat. I love my truck!

Love the content, keep it coming! I was already used to keyless entry on the Focus ST plus the wife wanted the heated and cooled seats. Ended up going with the V8 Platinum. Still love it after 6 months!
I am loving my 19 Lariat. Push button, leather, keyless and vented seats are totally worth it for me.

A lot of good info from a knowledgeable salesman. Thank you
I love my 2014 5 liter F150 that I currently have logged 148,000 miles on it... when it is time for a new one it will be another 5 liter XLT F150. Thanks for the video tour, you always do a great job.
I found your video very informative. I bought my first Ford 1962 Galaxy 500, first truck 1988 Ranger and first F150 2001 Lariat. Currently driving 2011 F150 Lariat and now waiting for the 2021 to be available. To actually compare the STX vs XLT vs Lariat plus the different options that are available for each one, I have never had a dealership do those comparisons, great job.
Excellent review I have a 2010F150 lariat and I could not live without my heated and cooled seats thanks for the education
Really enjoy these videos. I'm looking for a new truck and it's good information to help me make an informed decision. Thanks for making them.
It's interesting how pricing changes based on location. I just bought a 2020 Lariat 502 (no sun roof, no adaptive cruise, no 360 camera, no power running boards) in Ontario Canada. Price difference was only $5,000 CND for the Lariat vs XLT well kitted out. That's like $3,500 US if I were to guess on exchange rates.
Been driving Fords since I was 16.. only have had 4 vehicles, now I'm 44 .. Fords are the best!! #StayBlessed

just purchased a 2020 Lariat like the one in the video with % interest I absolutely love it! Its worth every penny especially the ventilated seats and auto start in the southern heat...a life saver.
Perfect. Exactly the info I was looking for. I could not find a comprehensive breakdown of the nuanced differences between these models.
From your honesty, alone. Is why I would order, and pick my F150 up @ that dealership, in Bessemer, Alabama! Great salesmanship, is just as valuable, as the product being sold 🤝
you make great videos. I actually purchased a Ford F150 Lariat. A lot of the videos that you have done helped make my decision. I live in Utah but maybe I should have drove out to Alabama to get one. Thanks for making these videos.
Real v8 power @2:53. Love it! Great video! I only wish the XLT had dual zone climate control as an option.
Pretty well thought out review. Thanks for the video.

You should check out PaxPower ( v8Raptor.com ). They take a regular F-150 (XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum) with 5.0L V8 engine and turn it into a complete Raptor...suspension, body...hood, grille, front fenders and rear bed sides, upfitter switches, decals, etc........OR.....add Raptor suspension or very expensive aftermarket Icon Raptor type suspension, Whipple Supercharger, nice lighted fender flares, widen the rear axle......and NO Raptor body parts or decals......for way less money......but much more performance than an OEM factory Raptor.....not to mention the "cool factor".....a somewhat regular looking F-150...incognito....a "wolf in sheep's clothing" that will run circles around the OEM factory Raptor on pavement and off-road.
Love the channel Mitchell. Would love to see you review a King Ranch. Don’t see em out on the roads very often.

It's not just the F150, I got a 2018 300A Ford Edge Titanium and it doesn't have remote start, BLIS, or LED headlights. Ford is always locking those options away behind packages whether it be a $38,000 SUV or a $60,000 truck.
Respect for your option. Lariat all the way though, I drove both and there's a massive difference
You forgot to mention the huge (in my opinion anyway) upgrade in the instruments by going to the Lariat.

Great content! Solid presentation of features and how they translate into price difference. My question is why does the automotive industry not understand that when an item simultaneously has 4 plus different prices, it makes it impossible to trust any of the prices?
I'm retiring now and just bought a slightly used (18,000 miles) 2020 Lariat 4x4 with the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost. The truck is a joy to drive and I love it. I also bought a house with cash and a 22-foot Airstream trailer. Leaving LA and never looking back. Upper Peninsula of Michigan here I come!
Great videos, out in California it is really difficult if not impossible to find a knowledgeable Ford salesperson if you are in the truck market.
Totally worth it.. bought a 2019 Lariat last year and LOVE the truck. Power windows, keyless entry, leather, tailgate step, etc.. grew up a GM guy, and I'm now a Ford convert. Buy it at the end of the month, and the dealer will get you an even better deal to hit their quota!

I've done tons of research & there informitive salesmen& lack of pressure sold me on buying from them, rather then buying direct! I will fly there from Mexico & drive it to my new half acre of land I just bought in the Florida Panhandle! I'm a TOYOTA man but I can buy the 2012 4by4, XLT & still have like an extra $3000 left over to put in front airlockers, Leer Cap, steeel bumper plus add some awesome lights for the same price of the TOYOTA TACOMA OR TUNDRA! The exterior body lines are lame.....way more plain on the 2021 F-150 compared to the 2015 thru 2020 F-150. I sure hope Ford does not have a similar plan for the Super Duty trucks in 2022 or 2023.
Thank you Mitchell...theses are so helpful
Thank you. Very helpful. Please do a Lariat & King Ranch comparison. Those are the models I am considering.
your channel is an absolute gem.
Basically you have to add another $125 a months for your payment over 7 years, or about $4.00 a day. on the Lariat. On a serious note, unless you want to tow, get the 2.7 litre bi turbo. I love this engine, it has tons of power, and gets about 23mpg on the highway with the 4X4 model

I have a 2019 Lariat that I live. Mine has the features you pointed out. You might want to talk about the auto dimming head lights.
At the end, you mentioned that ventilated seats and the push button start as the big differences. I would add that the 4A is a big reason why people go with Lariat. I don’t have the numbers to back it up, but I also think they hold their resale value better. I love my Lariat.

I have a 2015 XLT F150 and I absolutely love it. It’s got some features and it looks absolutely stunning. I have a black Supercab with black leather interior heated seats backup camera chrome accents a V8. But the only thing I don’t have is eco boost but eh. I still love it

Just bought a 2015 lariat today, I love it! Most of the options seem to be identical as the new one you’re showing.
Even though I own a limited, I do think that the Lariat is the best all around truck. You can get pretty much all of the features of the more expensive trucks without paying the higher price tag. I do prefer the look of the sport package. It’s an all around great looking vehicle.

I test drove a lariat and I was not impressed with the cheap/chintzy feeling "leather" trimmed plastic floor shifter, the leather quality was very poor, and some of the features were a bit much (the adaptive CC, lane keeping, etc). I ended up getting a "souped up" XL with $9,080 of added options. Fx4, 5.0 V8, 3.73, trailer tow package, STX and Sport appearance packages, rear camera, tech package, etc. It has the column shifter which is amazing. Why would anyone want to take up a lot of space in their center console with the shifter when you can just stick it behind the wheel and then have tons of console space? I have no idea why the floor shifter is an "upgrade". Imo it's a downgrade. Same with the "leather". The quality is terrible, it peels after a couple years (I don't even think it's full grain solid leather btw) is super expensive, etc. I got Katzkin leather for 1k (self install) but the leather quality is much better than Fords. Why pay twice as much for shittier quality leather? Easy I guess? I added a stubby radio antenna (very short) for 27.81, I got a keypad entry code thing for 67.15 (funny enough, it's only like $45 to add factory), a Tyger T3 bed cover for $259.00, LED fogs for $56.99, and an AC power inverter (to charge tools and 110-120 wall outlet items). Oh and the Ford T plate tie down things for the bed (12.99 for 4) and bedrail retractable hooks (4 very high quality solid stainless steel for $45). All that stuff is so much cheaper than getting it from the factory (except the pin pad is 20 bucks extra) and most of it is higher quality, too. Very quick and easy installs. The only thing I wish I had was the push button start, that can't really be added, and I miss it (had it in my other car). But, that's not worth 10-20k more just for that one feature. Most of that crap I don't need or want. The sensors would be ok, but I don't really need them. The lane keeping crap I have on another car and f***** hate it. Got the factory camera option which was desperately needed for driving this boat for only 250. The 40/console/40 is amazing. Huge and spacious, so much room to throw tools, phone, drinks, whatever there. Console/steering column shifter is the best. The sport cloth was pretty nice, but the Katzkin is amazing. And what's great about the XL is the floors are that vinyl/rubber material so cleaning is out is a breeze. Fantastic truck. My lugs were those crappy ford factory ones that got all bloated and wouldn't work with the right size bar anymore so I tore them off and added Gorilla lugs off ebay for I think $50. A couple of forscan tweaks and good to go. I guess my advice would be: DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Figure out what features you really want, and what you don't really care about. Figure out what can be easily added and what is a pain/nearly impossible to add (like push to start). Underbuy if you can easily upgrade. The aftermarket parts are often times much better quality. Fords spray in liner costs the same as Linex, but linex is way better. My $259 T3 bed cover is fantastic, why pay a thousand? The XL and the XLT are going to be your best deal by far. Get the appearance packages you want because you can't feasibly change out your bumper/paint/etc. I'm VERY happy with my truck.

Mitchell. . .I truly enjoy your Vids and over the years I've used them to learn about all the new tech at Ford. I, too, am a Ford man (Maverick, Tempo, Contour, (03) Ranger and now a '19 F-150 XLT. Question: About 9:20 mark in this video you mentioned that the XLT has a Collision Warning System. This is true? The 5.0L V8 would be a better engine choice instead of any V6. Check out PaxPower (Paxpower.com or V8Raptor.com) for upgrades to a F-150 truck. PaxPower can and does install OEM factory Raptor suspension or higher better quality Icon suspension to a regular F-150 for about $7,000.00. Moreover, you can add a Whipple Supercharger to the 5.0L V8 engine. Then....you would have a F-150 with better than Raptor performance...both on pavement and off-road.....a truck incognito...a "wolf in sheep's clothing"......way more cool than a OEM factory Raptor.
Pick my 2020 Lariat up tomorrow. Another cool feature is you can programme the keys to you and wife’s seating, mirror, pedals and steering wheel position. When I get in with my key the car will setup automatically to my driver settings and when wife uses her key same thing.
Recently bought a 2011 f150 with a 5.0 under 100.000 miles and love it. Sony sound system. Spray in liner tonneau cover. Wife loves the sunroof
I went with the Lariat. On the lot they had one and I got some extras, but that long bed and 4 A drive is great heading up to the mountain on some of those mixed snow, ice, wet days. Yep, paying more, but not unhappy with purchase.
This guy is amazing, nice presentation
