You can't do this with the driver side. The door jamb switch is used to trigger off the Accessory Delay Relay. If you bypass the door jamb switch, the power windows and other accessory related options will remain on until one of the other doors trigger the relay off. Definitely not something most people will want to have to do. The door jamb switches are approximately $15 to replace. Better option than bypassing it.

Will it effect the bed light as well?

I removed the fuse for the interior dome lights and produced the same result without having to tear the door assembly apart. Everything works except the dome lights do not come on when the door is opened.

onstads removing the #14 fuse for dome light did not fix the door ajar problem for me

hey guys, i have a 97 150, when the truck sits for a while the panic alarm goes off and i was told that the "door ajar" switches are bad. might be a goofy question, so i guess this will solve this problem as well? am i wrong? by cutting these wires, the truck always thinks the doors are closed, correct?

Wait you don't have to tie them together? I saw videos of someone bridging them I thought

im driving a 2013 at work that i just took the damn dome light out because it would never go off, im wanting to try and find the wire and kill it lol
