Love the rotisserie idea, cool
watched you installing front hub w/bearings. they need to be torqued to 5-7 ft pounds. especially important if using synthetic grease. doing the old way just by feel, you can wind up with 25-30 ft pounds on the bearings(synthetic) which can cause bearing failure. did it once.

Designed and made my own pieces years ago, from drop and scrap material when I found them, and lathe time (not a machinist). Bought a welder, did work; bought a bigger welder, did more work; bought a TIG machine, and continue to work. Learn something new every time I build something. Not a lot of money involved, just patience, effort, experience, and building upon that. We all start from square one, unless we make excuses for not starting (

There's always the KZread expert in the comments... just shut up. Currie has been around a lot longer than just this axle. I'm sure they know what they're doing, considering they're a national company.
Huge Miller fan boy here.....why would Miller continue to build the Millermatic 190? 230 only, good up to 1/4". For another 300.00 you can get a Millermatic 211. 110 or 230 and good for up to 3/8"
I would like to put an Ecoboost in my '54 one day.
When you get bored, call Kasse to stress test that rear end.
Great job!!, very good!!, where you find the power pack for the ecoboost?
Isn't the currie rear end a little overkill for a V6 not making 400hp?

There were three main manufacturers for 2 speed rear ends. International, Columbia, and Eaton. They are more commonly used on your commercial heavy duty trucks. As for the pre 80s medium & heavy duty pickups/trucks, years and models varied.

@@bigboreracing356 wow that is truly incredible. That is alought more mileage than I expected. I have seen these turbos crap out with fewer than 50,000 miles, without the engine being abused at all. Ford had a diesel turbo in the 90's that was just poop. 35,000 miles was all 1 turbo would go.

@@bmstylee The weak point here would be the standard gear housing and a clutch-type limited slip. If you really worried about a regular housing deflecting just weld on a common back brace. This is, of course, just a commercial for Currie's product and the bragging rights associated.
