The story of him winning Brazil was freaking amazing. Finished 1st with only a single gear! If you notice, he couldn’t lift the trophy by himself. That is because his body basically became jello from what he put himself through. He was going on pure adrenaline which is why he famously screamed over the radio. He just did something only a handful of people could possibly accomplish.

Saying he should have not used the escape road is complete rubbish. What was he supposed to do, turn around and drive into oncoming traffic? It's absurd his penalty was for that. There is a rule though, if I remember, that cars cannot be assisted in returning to the track. They have to rejoin unaided but he was push started by marshalls. If his car could not start without a push then he's out so far as the rules say. The marshalls can't help. It was right he was disqualified but they just based it on the wrong reasoning.

I agree. I was 15 when he died. I remember the day the news of his hit... it was a national mourning day in Brazil. No one could believe it. I stopped watching F1 after his, not only bc i thought it was kinda dull without the excitement he would bring to any race, but bc it also would hurt a lot. It hurt to see someone win and think “man, senna could have beat him” Still hurts to this day to hear his theme song that would play on brazilian television everytime he won. O melhor de todos os tempos, sem dúvida.🇧🇷

@@phillydelphia8760 alright, since you missed my point ... " Like he wouldn't have thought to do that, while mv sees and understands without another thought" are you even serious? Just search on yt about racing lines in rain, and there are a fuckton of videos by coaches telling you precisely what max seems to "understand without another thought". Now, do you think any of the drivers in the grid, who have been racing since kids, different conditions, different cars, different tracks ... don't understand something as simple as exploring the track for grip? Do they need the cunt-in-chief-with-a-ridiculous-inferiority-complex MV to shrug off one of the most amazing laps in televised history as "meeh, he's just finding the grip". If you believe that's the case, then let's agree to disagree.

@@Stivsh well you've just gone and written a whole lot while assuming what I'm thinking.. Very smart. There's a difference between a driver knowing wet weather lines etc and being able to actually do it. MV astutely observes what senna is doing in a very basic (comparatively) car. That by itself, is impressive. In a modern F1 car, its more everyday. However, not everyone is so skilled at the wet weather driving. As we can see from his reaction, you can see its something that would not be his first thought to do in that scenario. Likely because he is aware of his own limitations. No shame in that if it was the case, every driver can improve. But they all have different limits. Apparently taking the outside line in the pissing wet is not something he'd readily do. MV we already know will send it almost anywhere if he's got a gap. It's a different mental approach between to different drivers who are, surprise surprise, on different plains of talent. But if you want to be a dick about it and try to belittle someone with a differing opinion, I will repeat 'that says it all'

no, see Ayrton at Portugal 1985! today they wouldn't even have the pace car out in those conditions, the 2nd arrived at over 1 minute (Alboreto on Ferrari), the 3rd and 4th arrived at one lap, the 5th and 6th arrived at 2 laps. There is absolutely nothing today that compares to those races. Add 200 to 400 extra HPs compared to today, no TC, no launch control, no power steering, no carbon fiber breakes, it was another level of driving

Época que tínhamos Senna e andávamos armados. País era relativamente seguro. Sempre tinha vagabundos.

3:24 love what Max did there! He pointed out that when his does what Senna used to do, people pick on him. Max, keep driving like you do, you are an agressive driver, you push your car to the limit, dont stop it! You make F1 great to watch PS: Im not a max fan, im an F1 fan, and by that i want F1 to be great.... we need more agression, today's cars are saver than ever, they are design to race, design to save a drivers lifes, design to take positions, but we need drivers who want to take that position.
