Max is very consistent in his driving. The others make to many mistakes. Ferrari and McLaren are challenging. But the drivers or pit crews make way to many mistakes.

There's no Max problem. There's a drive to survive fans problem.

Before he started winning (circa 2014) he even said the exact opposite: He likes being 20 seconds in front chilling without being on tv because he's all about winning.

I genuinely don't think people understand the work he's putting into his driving. It's sad to see people talk shit. I get it, but you don't see any of the other drivers pitting in the hours. And guess what: in F1, we happen to be in the middle of it. Sure, domination is a thing in F1 but rarely will you see a combination of factors and circumstances in F1 that will cause one racer and team breaking almost every record out there in a single season like Max and Reb Bull are doing. It's simply unheard of. If you want to get rid of "the Max problem", hire a hitman. Otherwise, just be in awe of a unique piece of F1 history we're witnessing atm.

F1 has a problem with it's fans.

Don't you just love it. If you suck in F1, people yell that you are to bad for the sport, but when you are to good you make the sport boring. Max is setting new records that no other driver has ever done and that is exciting.

I don't get it. We have had long time dominant winners in other sports as well, for example skating, cycling, boxing. Nobody was complaining about that, but for some reason, it is a problem in racing.

Its just sports. Every sport will have a dominate champ for years or fights or belts, but only for so long. Then a new champ emerges. Its how the game goes.

The problem is really more F1 itself, really since the early 2000s you have had more times of one driver/team dominating then really close every year having a new champ. That has more to do with how F1 makes their rules so when one team/car gets it locked in no matter how good the other drivers are they cant be touched. F1 has always had that problem to a degree but in years prior reliability of cars was such an issue that it was rare to have the insane dominance in the ways F1 has been in the last 20 years but especially going from total Mercedes to now total Red Bull which honestly makes for really boring viewing just knowing itll basically always be the same.

Red Bull is no problem. Look at the performance of the team's number 2. Other teams can compete with that. So the problem is Max he has become too good for the rest. At least get rid of the cost cap. Let other teams at least have budget to fix mistakes. This is a baked in advantage. Either you can beat Red Bull (doubtful because ground effects are their advantage), or you have to settle for whatever place.

No, F1 has a cost cap problem. Red Bull got 2022 right from the start and the other teams just can't spend enough money to catch up. Way back in an earlier life teams would introduce often 3 engine upgrades during the year and constantly upgrading the car. This allowed Red Bull (and to a lesser degree) Ferrari to catch up with Mercedes. A cap is not a problem per se, but it is set way too low. Even Haas almost hit the ceiling, I believe in 2023 they were just sitting at 120 million. They should have used the median of all teams to set a fair limit. All we can do now, is hope that in 2026 more than 1 team have a good answer to the new regulations, because I don't see anyone matching Red Bull/Verstappen. Ironically Red Bull changed the 2024 car design because they believed the 2023 had too many limitation and didn't provide a good platform anymore to continue building for 2024 and 2025. So, they took the gamble to change some key components of the car to make it even better. I'm sure Mercedes could have made the zero-pod concept working if they were allowed to spend 300 million a year instead of a measly 145 million. But as usual the FIA has no idea what they are doing. It even takes them ages to decide whether or not to employ a (V)SC. You don't get better results by making all teams equally poor. Besides, in F2 and F3 everybody has the same car, still there are top teams there. At the moment Red Bull is a smooth running team (at least on track) with all pitstops at the China GP within 2.2 seconds including a double stack. More than not, they have the right strategy, car is reliable and fast and Verstappen seems to drive like a robot. In that regard Perez seems more human ;-)

True. Other drivers had the same problem. But we all thought that F1 would not allow such a problem to occur again! But here we are! And it's more intensely one sided than ever. The other great drivers didn't win EVERYTHING. There was always some competition. But as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow Verstappen will be champion by August and the last third of the season will be meaningless. Don't forget there is colossal over-exposure these days and viewers with short attention spans. Personally I have switched off and watch "Goodwood" instead!

With a little bit of luck we can see him get back from the tail to the front of a race like Brazil, Belgium...etc.. His dominance is making it extra I still hope every race to see the haas cars lose, and for the Williams to get in the top of the midfield, even though chances are slim at the moment.
