Why is there rain drops going down the visor and not streaking across like in real life? Why do the engines sound tinny and just weird? Why do the up shifts sound weird? Why is the HUD a complete and utter joke? Why is the rain so unrealistic, like there's hardly any spray coming off the car in front. Why does this game look like exactly F1 23 with a new hud?

If they add more spray in the rain, the engine will break and it will look like pure white smoke with phasing lines. The highly experienced developers have found no solution to this for years now 👍 (same with the removal of the shine in night races. 23 looked terrible when it came out in the night, so they just removed it completely)

For me this is like Spec 3 F1 22.

It really annoys me how the marketing video has a lightning glitch on the Alpine at Qatar, a MFD glitch regarding tyre temps and a terribly low quality radio message to hype us up. EA/Codies doesn't even care for the marketing material anymore. If the marketing material is a buggy mess, what can we expect for the game? It's a real shame the state that F1 games are, I hope Codies step up their game on F1 25 or let another studio use the F1 license.

Racing Bulls radio is messed up (sounds broken) in real life but there's plenty of teams with better radio quality in the current year and even 10 years ago. Ricciardo is in F1 for ages and they can easily pick better radio messages from previous years, but they just didn't. Just google "Ricciardo radio mclaren" or "Ricciardo radio renault" and you'll see.

@@GierJoost F1 2015 was an overhaul from the F1 2012 - 14 style gameplay we had. But it was shockingly bad. Like horrendous. I'm pretty sure a key game mode was also missing. For me, this isn't an overhaul like 2015 was to 2014, but instead simply a really bad game similar to 2015.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I like the look of these gameplay changes. Am I disappointed that there isn't more to this new game? Sure. I'd have loved to have seen a new game engine (finally) and a proper upgrade to Career but overall the gameplay changes look really very interesting. Minor details will be forgiven if the game can deliver a truly amazing F1 driving experience. With some of the changes in here, this game could potentially do exactly that. It looks like they've put all their eggs into the "it will drive much better this year" basket so lets see what they come up with. Trying to approach this with a really positive mindset rather than doom and gloom. I genuinely like what I'm seeing from this new game so far.

Tyre wear in a wheelspin is completely different than a lock up, the latter being absurdly more damaging to the rubber both in the short and in the long term

I thought going off the "dry" line in wet conditions already cooled your tires in F123 lol. I'm also curious if they'll change the rear light flashing when ERS is below 10%. I never understood where that came from, IRL doesn't it flash when not actively in use. One thing I'd like is actual info from the game makers on tyres ideal temperature. In F123 it never really tells you if the tyres are too hot or what the ideal range is.

Ben doing a deepdive just reminds me of how done Aarav is since he can't watch after his tyres at all 🤣 Overall it looks fine but more like a DLC than a groundbreaking F1 game. At least Creator Series and 2-4 Player Mode is going to be fun.

Ben, 2 things you probably just missed, you actually start flashing below 15% and there is yet again no gravel trap at the exit of the last corner in China, hope they will add it till the release.

Whats the new engine sound you mentioned at the beginning?

honda engine is by far the best sounding engine right now, sometimes other cars can produce this high pitch almost jet engine like sound but red bull is consistent with that sound

Spa looks so narrow for some reason maybe it’s the size of the cars or something, but they look like they can barely go two wide on the long straight.

I think the temperature for the right front through old turn 1 at silverstone at 10:19 reached 146 in the carcass at least.

The tracks look better, but they're still shitty hand drawn and hand modeled tracks, not laser-scanned. Also, you'll probably still use T-cam, which is boring.

I hope they make the AI get penalties, dnfs, crashing ect. Bad pitstops. More realistic less robotic.

That sponsorship was worth it for them 😂

Getting excited for changes at Spa which should have been in the F1 games ages ago.

Hoping that tyre bug is just a visual thing, because of the game it's thinking the tyres are up to temp we are in for a loooooonnngggg year again. Not sure if Ben can provide any insight having played already.. Like did the fresh hards have the grip and lap times as warmed ones?? Or is it truly just a visual bug of them not showing as blue 'cold'??

When are driver ratings being released?

Have they sorted the Ai being too fast in the straights and slow in the corners.

Ben, how is the feel of the road? Do you feel marbles? is that bouncing (porpusing)?

EA Have really taken over. Subscription model of the same game every year. No classic cars, Extra tracks or anything like they could have done with their budget.

So the red represents how slow you're going which actually provides more power charge than the green

It's funny to find out all of the beta drivers wrre driving on the wrong coding/package. They are releasing the beta2 so we can feel the real model as they accidently released the wrong one I guess. Also so many are full of it. Its not the same game, uodated tracks, tire model, suspension and everything else. Also the sound will be nice in person has some depth. They actually got that due to how f1 drivers hear it inside. People can be mad but it sounds more real now tbh. Also now curbs matter more which you can and cannot hit. Slips are alot more apparent and I hesr you can feel the suspension now. People are like omg what have they even done? Alot! Look at it don't just hate. More then the past 3 releases that's for sure. I hate reddit because everyone is on there saying nothing was done or new and already trying to ruin the launch. This video from you should be what they watch. And actually listen since you have felt it a bit at that event and you know what to talk about and look for. Also means the people saying omg 2012 was the best well now erst and battery is similiar so enjoy@

Why don’t EA just patch F1 23 with the track and livery improvements as well as driver changes. I’d rather that than pay $100+ for a game each year.

I've already explained this twice but it's how fast you generate more power for the overtake button. You should notice the green side matches it. The green indicates the power you're using

@@yannikgroe6860 yep they sadly get a lot of thst stuff wrong. In 23 at zandvoort for the track acclimatisation program, they moved the drs to the new location but didnt move the graphic. So many little things to tidy up but they dont affect the esports drivers so the problem doesnt exist.
