Vettel did 41.5 at spa in 2018 in his q2 lap. 2019 cars were faster at corners than their 2018 counterparts but this lap was slower because of the harder tyre, if it weren’t for the harder tyre Leclerc would have set an all time lap record.

what you mean harder tyres? there were no tyres change in 2019 and 2020?? they were both on soft .. the only thing that happened..is that spa is low downforce track..and everybody have that kind of setup..but merc did the calculations and I guess they found much more time in 2 sector.. correct me if I am wrong?

@@markoatf5121 harder tyres means the c3 compound. Mercedes did a 43.2 in 2019 whereas they did 42.5 in 2017 due to the harder compound. In 2020 they they ran the softer c4 compound.

@@pranavrathore1703 no. That's not the issue. For 2019 they changed the rear wing regulation making them higher which increase the global drag on the cars. Here's a good example kzread.info/dash/bejne/eqd6zKaopcKaoc4.html Notice the difference in rear wing height.

The end of the curbs were the track limits for this event...

And yet with Hamiltons time at least on 2 occasion he exceeded track limits 🤔 last corner was blatantly obvious he was way over the white line all 4 wheels. At least Charles was clean

And here we see a common species known as the salty Ferrari fan. Had Hamilton not exceeded YOUR “track limits” (as those done by Hamilton were deemed completely legal by the FIA), he would’ve lost 4-5 tenths at most, likely less. In fact, the 4 wheels over line after the bus stop gained him no time as all. Therefore, he still would’ve been miles (over a second) faster than Charles.
