@@hasaanali4035 well, with that logic mate, we should look at 2008 and say that McLaren was absolutely garbage and Hamilton won the title, since his teammate was underperforming. I don't think lotus was faster than Ferrari in 2012. As Kimi only won a single race that year in Abu Dhabi. And yes McLaren was faster but not better. Still a great job by Alonso in 2012 season. That Ferrari isn't that good compared to Red Bull

It’s not that he was a poor qualifier, it’s just that his car was often not good enough over 1 lap but during the race he was able to make the difference

@@bymafia2606 Yes. Alonso got the half of his f1 poles so far (22) in 2 years (2005 and 2006, 6 poles each season) That says it all...

@@ManuelRomero-nj9en Alonso is one of the best in qualifying history. The data is there to look at. In his last year 21-0 in the standings of a vandoorne. If Massa stood out for something it was because he was fast at 1 lap and against Alonso he could not. He also destroyed Kimi in 2014 in the rankings. He only lost to Hamilton, but in Mclaren they played dirty altering the pressure of their tires as happened in China and Brazil in 2007. Fernando without having had a dominant car for all these years with the material that they gave him almost always made magic.

he literary matched hamilton in 2007 in qualifying keep in mind he had engine failure and sabotaged by mclaren hungary, and china and the last 4 races and hamilton being used to the bridgestone tyres and new world for alonso

@@agustinechevarria8048 excuses...hamilton is faster, he was 3,5 tenths on average faster than Button when they were teammates whilst Alonso was just 2 tenths faster. Button himself has said on several occasions that Lewis is the fastest driver of the 21st century. In Hamiltons rookie year Lewis got 6 poles to Alonsos 2. From 2007 until 2012 Mclaren got 30 poles, 26 of which came from Hamiltom lmao. Need i say more?

So what, to win a championship you need to have both the car and the driver. By your logic Schumacher should have won 15 championships every year from 1992 to 2006, because all those years he was the best driver in F1.

@@mubpfc Hakkinen had better cars than Michael and only 1998 he was better, 1999 Schumacher got injured and in 2000 and 2001 he beat Hakkinen convincingly

By this logic, drivers like Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, Hakkinen and Jenson Button should have never been champion.

His 2012 season was something out of this world. In 3rd/4th car he lost the title by just 3 points.
