I'd say it is pretty popular. Easily the most popular form of motor racing.

his throttle technique is so strange, applies a decent amount of throttle mid apex, then lifts, then applies it again. But all that does is create unnecessary understeer when he could've just progressively applied it. I think Massa was under driving that year and made the car look worse than it actually was.
