My brother-in-law turned me onto FZ in 1966 with Freak Out .. I was 15, to this day I live gratitude .. 72 now and play some piece every day
Thou shalt not interrupt a kickass Zappa guitar solo with crass commercial messages no matter how tasty. He warned us.

This guy is a nut.. Yet he's talented brilliant and infectious. ❤❤❤
I liked this craziness 55yrs ago and I still like it!!!
заппа это заппа!❤Мне 62 года, когда я себя спрашиваю : что бы я хотела услашать?! Фрэнк Заппа! Полный восторг. ❤
dad told me to listen to frank zappa [he said i'd like it] and i am so glad i listened
You don`t have to understand music, you have to like it
Remember the stoner days and the usual tunes well he quickky became the man who influenced me more than anyone up until that time and or even did or ever will. I give thanks for a gift that helped me and does stuff today.
I saw Frank Zappa perform live in 1978 and, he performed the title track & Cosmik debris and, it’s still one of my favorite albums! He is one of the greatest composers, lyricist & guitarist of the 20th century! I gave a copy of this album and of course Beatles Sgt Peppers to my 8 yr old nephew and he loved singing Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow😂& Strawberry Fields! Now who you jiving with that cosmik debris!✌️&❤️

I listen for the first time to zappa it seems like he mixed alot of musical genres, mixed with philosophy, story telling, etc, that's fucking fantastic😂😁

OH HELL YEAH!!! Still... 🎶...trudging across the tundra mile after mile.."🎶 genius
Incroyable album de zappa . Peut être un de ses meilleurs. Compliqué mais accessible pour tous . Tous ? Bon certainement pas tout le monde . Réservation pour oreilles avec éclairage interne .
Il migliore. Sotto ogni punto di vista.
I got this one on 8 track. Perfect for cruising around in a vintage vw beetle.
Need Zappa more now than ever!!
Welcome back beautiful soul.... ThankQ.... 💫🙏💫
Saw this concert in Cleveland 1974 at Public Hall with Flo and Eddie. Best concert ever. It was scheduled for Friday night but was snowed out. Rescheduled for Sunday, open seating. We sat over the band in the balcony. Concert went for 3 hrs. Outstanding!

I was there, we even drove down in the snowstorm. A good friend and I quit our jobs twice to go to our first Zappa concert! We had great seats second row floor.
I opened for this band in, I believe 79 when they toured this album. Good times.
Cool live version of 'Cosmic Debris'. I've always enjoyed me some Zappa. A great departure from what I was accustomed to, and the musicianship was insane!
Thank you !!! Frank the master Zappa !!!
N°2 dans mes albums préférés de Zappa (après One size fit's all)
CITY OF TINY LIGHT'S LIVE IS INCREDIBLE !!
Haven't listened to this all the way through in a while; thanks!
I was lucky enough to see him 7 times. Once on Halloween Night in NYC. He is missed.
O primeiro álbum que conheci do FZ. Mudou completamente minha percepção
This is an alternate version from the Standard version from back then, very cool, and I still know all the words ...
Still have the first printing on vinyl. A cherished gem.
Remember. ZAPPA for president.😁

agree 100%. Zappa brings a different kind of craziness that Thrump will never achieve...not just because he lacks intelligence.
I saw Frank in Rome,Italy when this album first came out, then I saw him at the Berkeley Ampitheater,he was great both times.I surewish he hadn't smoked cigarettes, he might still be with us.❤

Early 80s. Late on Sunday nights, after Dr. Demento, the local rock station would have the Zappa Hour Of Power (always at least two hours, often three). Then I'd wake up late for school, eyes looking like I'd had a run in with a fur trapper, who was strickly from commercial, that was equipped with doggie doo snow cones.
What a great album I've heard it a thousand times I was really surprised when they used a live version of Cosmic Debris that wasn't on this album what was the reason for that .
It's hard to keep a straight face listening to the album... 🙏✌️😎🖖🤘
Jack Bruce and Frank. What a combo. Apostrophe

The abridged version of "Yellow Snow" sounds so odd to my ears. I grew up listening to the full version of Apostrophe, and while I get the reason for the edit (brevity), it still is jarring when you expect the track to go a certain way.
Try to imagine this album without George Duke.

Ali checkout some of Zappa's stuff with The Mother's of Invention. His band was loaded with talent. Its a bit far out but very groovy. You are in for a treat. Wa salaam alakem bro.
Now I know you are gone in the state of junk and pot.
WTFH ??? at 1:27 they F'ing SKIP 40 something seconds !!!

The music is advanced but the lyrics are fifth grade fun never could get into just for that reason.

Yeah, totally. Music is a pastiche of rock, jazz, pop, beewop, etc. Crazy lyrics which just run into censorship issues. None of it makes much sense. I like about 10% of the material, when when his band get down to play straight ahead.

There is no accounting for taste! IMHO, Zappa remains among the greatest ever to write music, much less play same.
Why is this album cut down to smithereens. It is missing a lot of groovy shit. Shame shame

Frank died on December 4, 1993 (age 52 years), in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, CA. He had prostate cancer. R.I.P Frank Zappa 💔
NOT ROCK TOO LIGHT❗️
In the end , he died a very bitter man .....
What kind of a garu are you....
The first song is cut, I can't listen to the rest
You ruined it. The 1st track is not even the full song. Take this down 👎
The real album 😊
WHY ARE THE SONGS REPEATING?

A strange angry dude. If he wasn't at his peak in the psychedelic stoner 70s he would have made more money as a butcher.

Yeah I won't subscribe either ,they don't interrupt meditation or relaxation videos because it is medically approved as rehab therapy. I find frank zappa my therapy from boredom 😢
I saw "the Mothers of Invention" at a concert in San Francisco some 50 years ago. Captain Beefheart was playing also. It was the worst concert I ever went to. The music, if you could call it that, was all experimental junk.

So chopped up, the album loses continuity. Unlistenable.
